this is about gear repairs, and several of us are talking of alternate methods of how to do them, NOT about the retainer system

Well assuming I can find the repair kits I need in bulk , then I have no complaints at all. So I guess I just joined Team TheVedis on repair system reworks.

to base your fees on realism is an issue. The time it took to level your craft or the overall spending of saoid craft. (in a video game) should never equal how much you accept in repair tips. If a person who needs repairs desperately and doesn't have the gil or craft to do so. Who made as well no longer see this player as they woulda quit from not beng able to play.

repair system is effected on the class and rank gear is. Which is effected by the crafters on making gear for all classes and all ranks ranges.
And that repaur fees on based on what the crafter deems fair. If you fixed the way crafter mindset is, you in turn fix the repair system.

making an mmo rely on people is not a bad thing, just make it fair for all parties. I never once mentioned the retainers people sell gear both on retainers and personal bazaars. And it is not easy to find gear that fits both critiera (sp) Which is the issues with repairs being so quick to be needed.

I say fix it at the source.

I've been on topic. Stop assuming i haven't been I feel that the only thing wrong with the repair system is from the side of the crafter. Which I've been suggesting a change in crafter mindset to stop making crafting be how trades are in real life, since it is a video game. You are playing a game. Not spending tons of money going to schools and learning a carreer. You are not running a 5 star buiness. So stop acting like you are.

So again what I said has been on topic you just just do not like my fixes. which ofcourse you wouldn't because you feel a need to make playing a game be like working at a job and "need" to be "paid" appropriately.

we do not need alt methods of repairs, that would slowly make crafters useless. I also never said free. You the silly person who assumings this. The only thing wrong with the repair system in on the side of the crafter. You guys are too stuck up for your own good. End of story to that.

Like I will say again fix the issue ayt the source rather then a band-aide will end up not helping either like crafter selling repair kits for tons of gil even for low level repairs. aka 20-30K ech

It gives the crafters something to do to justify them being a main class.

i do. I like mining and botany. And having a blast just going out and farm mats. (not being sarcastic)

I have a serious question.

ok having used the repair system before well on myself... how is the high cost from other players justified? (which is a bit of the OP issues well if not OP other ppls issues) So far it takes a whole 30secons to do since all you do is click on the item while under inventory and hit repair. It does so automatically. And only requires 1 item to do a repair.
Take example of the starter gear, both my weathered pickaxe and hatchet (botany tool) takes a maple branch which i can get about.... 50 with in an hour or less depending how many i get per swing. say i need to get thos repaired and I have the branches, what exactly am I paying for?

the same reason as everything else!

it takes TIME to earn them, to farm them, to make them, to be even able to farm earn or make them

in games people like to see that they are getting something for their work
they dont wanna just be put in the gutter and told that they have to do it for free cuz its their job, which is what you seem to think is happening

again, you are what, rank 14 at the most? you still have NO IDEA whatsoever the true aspect of the game you keep rambling on about like you are a know it all

leave it to the people who have reached even at least rank 30+ to decide that as they have actualy experienced the game, something you seem to still have a huge lack of
