As a general rule of thumb... when seeking repairs.. put up 2 x the cost of the material to repair the item. So if an iron nugget sells for 1k each.. and the item to repair your item uses 1 x iron nugget.. then put 2k for the repair price. This will generally get your items repaired pretty quickly. Much quicker if you have even higher repair rewards set.

If you do that, then sit by the repair npc in uldah and even shout have X repairs blah blah.. you will get someone to repair your equipment pretty quickly.

Here is another tip... if you are playing solo and cant repair your own weapons, take 2 or 3 with you.. this will increase your grind length, and still basically 1 trip back to repair your gear.

People whom seek repairs for less than 2 x the cost of the material, generally get passed by... because why would a crafter stop and spend their own items with the chance of a failure and losing their materials to break even or a loss. You cannot expect that of a crafter, sometimes they will do these repairs, but not as often and you will wait 10x longer for a repair. (unless your friend or LS member is doing it for you)

LOL, I used to carry 5-8 wands on me at any given time when the repair rates were really messed up because of that.
