Well, pay attention on weapon damage and weapon accuracy after some point.First of all, I've been playing this game for likely longer than you have. Secondly, you do not need a high rank to know how fast gear deteriorates. Don't play the rank game, especially when it is irrelevant, it just makes you look like an elitist tool.
Yesterday I leveled from 25 to 30 on my archer. Outside of my weapon, none of my gear was broken. Yes, it is slow to damage your gear now.
Or no damage (or lesser damage) when, for example.
I'm 30 LNC, and if I use an armor that is 30- and FAV LNC i have durability decrease locked.
And durability loss increase if I use an overleveled weapon or armor.

you mean people currently answer you when you shoult for such things? well that doesnt happen on my server. The repair system requires you to contact crafters to get your stuff repaired to 100%. This could be another player or yourself. You do not have to level crafting if you don't want to. In addition, you can pay an NPC to repair things to 75%, hardly useless. Also, gear damage is abysmally slow to accumulate now.
Stop complaining for the sake of complaining
and as far as future higher populations go.... do you really think there will always be someone who is willing to make your repairs 100% of the time?
because thats the benefit of a FULLY FUNCTIONAL NON HALF AS*ED repair NPC, they are always there 100% of the time in the exact same place, its beautiful.
if you do think that, even in the future, relying on players for repairs is a good idea then you sir a quite an optimist.
15 abilities each? what is this... Kindergarten?A jack of all trades WHM... what is this 1989?
Two things come to mind here.
1. Quit wearing gear that you're way underlevel for. Level-appropriate gear degrades far slower than stuff you're not ready for yet. Though it was a tad quicker than it should be at launch, after they made the adjustments I found the degradation rate of gear to be VERY reasonable. I find myself needing repairs perhaps once per week, at most.
2. You don't have to ever touch crafting if you don't want to. Other people can repair your gear for you. If you don't have LSmates or friends who will do it for you, pop the gear on your retainer and toss them in the Mender's Ward to be repaired overnight. If you offer an appropriate appropriate amount of each item to be repaired, they should all be ready for you the next morning.
If you don't have time to wait that long, then you're simply stuck using the NPC repair. It's the penalty for not having crafting ranks, friends, or time. The system isn't broken, but the way many people approach it is.
again lance lv 16 on a lancer lv 22.. 100%--->40% in 4-5 hour
that's not rasonable...
