BARD 2.1 change [requesting letter from the producer explanation]

Sounds like totally made up numbers to me, a bard, poorly geared, with 250-270 dps on turn 5? yea.... right....

And he thinks BRD is top dps class, im not sure hes even been in coils at all.

Lol ok, not terribly geared, but i have all the parses to prove it, and an entire group to back me up. I pull regularly 250+ depending on BL procs (if my play is absolutely horrid and i fuck up a rotation i do 230-240), i raid with one of the top guilds (Pantheon <EON>) on the server (Siren), if not the best. So, instead of refuting a player's ability to excel, how about consider how they are able to achieve it, attempt to replicate or ask them how to they achieved it. Dogmatic approach to maximizing your play will only hinder you in the end, be open minded. The only time my DPS drops on T5 are the dive bombs, but the 3 snakes dropping bring it back up when you spread out your dots.

Something is bad with your number man, is not way that you can parse that damage with your current equipment... that's all. No way.
Maybe your parser is not working properly (I didn't fight T5 so I really don't know if one bard can stay all the fight pew pew Twintania but your numbers seems overrated to me)

FF14 app like everyone else, and I have had two different guilds and many people metaphorically crap their pants when they see it on their parser pop up. Stop blaming the game, even the spreadsheet easymode shows that 250 is possible with a perfect rotation with less Dex than i have and less crit. Stop saying its not possible, because it is.

Easymode's spreadsheet is on these forums, there are multiple threads that link back to it, primarily the one that talks about DPS output per myth tomb upgrades. If you're too lazy to find it yourself like I did a while back, then I'm too lazy to link it.

No Piecing debuff, take ME out of my macro on a lvl 50 dummy? How about just log on to siren and we can sit next to a dummy in a group and you run your parser (my name is Drakkur Vextorian).

Here is me, dpsing with another very geared BRD in my guild (he was screwing around and only had half the uptime). No Piecing debuff on the target, I added the itemized result to show that I'm not loading up all the dummies with my Dots (they would be a much larger fraction of the damage).

Here is all the BRDs in the guild getting together to do a DPS contest, Blueash is a prime example of how well a very geared Bard can actually do.
