I have all of the DPS-increasing cross-class skills for my SMN.
I have no interest in the other jobs.
Tell me why I should level a class I don't enjoy. Please.

New dungeons are ABSOLUTELY new content. It's a new game. There isn't a lot out there yet. Honestly, the only really poor decision SE made was to release CT with lower-tier gear and bosses than BC as it means people who are endgame focused will likely skip it entirely.
Quit whining.

Don't. Just don't complain there's nothing to do when infact there is, you just don't want to do it. Neither I nor SE can make you level something you don't want to. CT was supposed to be in at release. If it was and they delayed BC until now this wouldn't even be a discussion because it'd be dropping a tier higher than CT. But reality is that it wasn't ready in time, and there's nothing we can do to change that fact. If you haven't tried the other classes I would reccomend that you give it a shot. Hell I never thought I'd enjoy tanking or healing but I ended up taking both Paladin and White Mage to 50. But again nobody can make you try to find enjoyment in the content available. It just might help you to have more fun..the whole point of games..right?
Whats the point of leveling an alt class to 50 and gearing them up with i80 gear when you are locked out from coil after running on your main class anyways? (yes I could level an alt, but I have a single account sub and I'm not interested in leveling another character - I've never played another game where I have read white knights blindly telling people that leveling alts is a proper excuse for lack of content.. smh)I normally don't post much but reading all these posts about how angry everyone is about CT dropping gear a lower tier then BC makes me laugh. I doubt any of you have full ilvl90 for all jobs. And for those that reply with "more jobs to level isnt content, I don't want to level them", then you guys aren't as hardcore or 'L33T' as you think you are because you're gimping yourself by not leveling your other classes for the cross class skills. People will always have something to wine about though I suppose. So continue to whine, you forum minority, 'L33T' whiner babies, I'll be enjoying the content SE adds with 2.1.. along with the majority of the games population LOL.
Oh I could run with my alt class instead of my main class? But wait, so I should tell my static to go to hell cause I want to run on my alt class for fun instead of helping them clear it with my tank role? Sorry, I guess I'm not that selfish and I, personally, would rather continue playing with my static.
Leveling to 30 for cross class skills and leveling to 50 + grinding gear sets are two separate things. My stoneskin isn't all of the sudden more powerful on my PLD because I leveled CNJ past 34.

OP hasn't even beaten Titan yet. lololol....

I'll have to agree with this. Yoshi has said many times that endgame is designed for people who have multiple classes leveled with cross-class abilities. This is how the game works. Its one of its basic premises. So if you don't want to level other classes then you might as well leave because its not changing. And if you do, then you'll be glad there's 'lower level' content like CT.I normally don't post much but reading all these posts about how angry everyone is about CT dropping gear a lower tier then BC makes me laugh. Cross class abilities are all sub-40 and take all of 2-3 days to get. Most people raiding coil have all of the relevant cross class abilities for their main class. There is no need to level your cross-classes to 50 or grind gear for them, it has absolutely no effect on the strength of cross class skills.I'll have to agree with this. I unsubbed because of the design choices that SE has taken with this game too ^^
I hope they change direction, so I keep an eye on the forums, but I doubt they will. Such a shame too as this game had so much potential from the company that made FFXI.
i plan on that too and looking to resub to ff11. im a bit scared to see how things are going over there. i feel like both sides are equally struggling.

You make some good points. Coil lockouts is just a bad design by SE. I understand why they do it, but they couldve made it so you could rerun it and just not get the myth or gear when redoing it that week. Personally I enjoy running dungeons as different jobs, it keeps things feeling fresh for me. So to me, leveling other jobs to do lvl 50 content, whether its the highest/hardest stuff or not, IS content. I realize that not everyone shares this view and that's fine. But please, don't just automatically label and assume I'm a white knight. I have my own issues with the game.
Lastly, I apologize for attacking those in my initial post, I hadn't stopped to consider the points you've raised. I'll be editing it shortly.
