Oh well.
I wanted Personal Housing for a long ass time.
Some people get sick and tired of fighting the same generic shit monsters everyday.
I'd kill for something to do off on the side. :/ Not to mention, the games combat is kinda boring anyways.
Minigames...Swimming...Chocobo Breeding!?
6 more months till P. Housing! Also, where's the marriage system lol.
Except that OP's post is absolutely incorrect.
There will be more than housing to "non-dungeon" content. They didn't show everything in one day. If they have TWO PARTS scheduled from the beginning, why would they spur everything in the first one? Hold your horses.
Also, more "non-dungeon" content is planned for later versions - including most of the things OP whined about. They can't just throw away everything to create in two hours a whole new system. 2.1 is getting the finishing touches, 2.2 is probably in development in a few areas, and 2.3 and beyond are possibly rolling around Yoshi's desk.
OP clearly doesn't have a clue on how development works, and just wants a new pacifier as soon as he finished filling his current one with spit. He also showed some lack of creativity, since it's possible to create something to have fun without the need of a specific game system to that. People who enjoy a bit of role-playing ingame excel on that. You just need some friends interested in doing such things as well.
Oh wait.

My god these forums are so depressing. All some people seem to do is complain. This game will never satisfy every person playing it. After being unhappy with a game for so long you need to take a step back and think to yourself "hmm, maybe this game just isn't for me.". If you're that upset with FFXIV you really should go play something else. It seems like some of you are torturing yourselves with the way you gripe about every last detail.
Hi, I'm an ex-hardcore raider through all of WoW's history. I did Karazhan, The Eye, SSC, BT, Hyjal, Funwell up to Mu'ru. I did Naxx, Ulduar, ToC, ICC. I skipped Bastion, but did Firelands, Dragon Soul. I did MSV, HoF, ToT, completed SoO. For most of these, I ran progressive heroic content (where available). All of these were done when relevant and I have the achievements to prove it (with the exception of BC content from before achievements were a thing).
New dungeons are ABSOLUTELY new content. It's a new game. There isn't a lot out there yet. Honestly, the only really poor decision SE made was to release CT with lower-tier gear and bosses than BC as it means people who are endgame focused will likely skip it entirely.
Quit whining.
Meh - I'd say 90% of my LS and FCs that I'm in don't log on for days at a time because of lack of things to do in the game
Overdose Sargantanas - T5 Clears zzzzzz
There were no dungeons in 1.0 at release, nor in the many patches that followed until much much later so... I don't see how could they be so wrapped up in making dungeons.
Some good points here, but I must point out a disturbing fact.
The idea that MMOs are about getting gear and progressing, that it's all about the next dungeon and completing that next set of armor.
This is not what MMOs are for. Its become a disturbing trend, log on, spam for marks and then vanish once cap is reached, to you folks I say, you are doing it wrong.
"Oh but that's what I like". Well that's fine, but don't whine about how bored you are, and don't say how little content there is when you refuse to indulge in anything else the game has to offer.
Gold Saucer, Chocobo racing, a card game, housing, crafting, chatting with friends, barding..all these things are what makes an MMO what it is.
A world, a place where you can immerse yourself, not a race to the top where its all about claiming superiority over others.
Idk when people forgot that, the little things make an MMO what it is, its a world, not a straight line.
Trade card game would be awesome. Viz. FF 8, FF9 so much side fun!
"moar", rage face in signature, im afraid its terminal
