They specifically stated the event would be repeated. The ps4 version will be in beta by then and the ps4 players deserve a chance to get the gear.

If the quest would be re-triggered then surely people would end up with two sets of gear (the same problem with the AF quests).

The AF quests and gear don't differ by gender. The male and female Lightning gear are all seperate items with different names. It checks your character's gender when you take the quest, otherwise it wouldn't know what to show as the reward.

I understand you being cynical, but i'm not talking out my behind here.

The event will be repeated, but unless they make the quests repeatable or make a second version the quests will still be flagged as completed on your character and thus preventing a player from getting a second set of gear.

As the event went live.. the dropped items from Lightning Fates are called Unworldly Parcel x 2 per FATE. One is for the weapon and one if for the clothing which opens up every 2 days real time. So.. basically there is no limit on how many ( Unworldly Parcels ) you can collect. If and when you change your toon Male/Female using the Fantasia ... you still will have available the Parcels in your inventory...
The NPC in Feb. will offer the same items and since you triggered the quest already.. there should be no reason you cant trade for the other gender stuff in FEB. But by doing this you render the previous gender gear as 5 spots in inventory you can never use. So basically.. your complaint goes back to why cant you just Gender Swap (at will) like changing a job class.

No, my problem is we don't know /when/ Fantasia's are being offered, it could be June 2014 before we see them being offered again, so I naturally obtained the gear from the quest, so that theory goes out the window.

The gear can ONLY be obtained via the quest, once the quest is completed it can't be repeated.

To be honest, I would like gear to be gender neutral in a sense. Sometimes a girl just wants to rock out in some sexy man pants, not a freaking ugly skirt. Let me CHOOSE the male variant and also be allowed to equip it on my female character, same goes for my male characters, sometimes I would like to show more midriff.

But back to topic, if they made the gear like most other gear, as in changes when male or female equips(but also had a right click "equip male or female" option) then both our issues would be solved

Oh my goodness, I had no idea... Why did Squee not do this??? x.x They have male models!

As for Snow's coat - there'd be no need for any design adjustments. It's just a long coat with a shirt underneath it after all. They'd just change whatever bits in the model they need to change to make it contour female bodies.

But the PS4 beta would be on separate servers, not on the live servers.
