SE could do the following: make open world mobs viable meaning they pose a threat, add open world grind parties, open world hnm's that actually give something of use (unlike behemouth and odin currently), use grand company seals to buy hnm pop items (1 time use win or lose), bcnm's (again gc seals for the item or the um beastman if you can call them that will drop them). There is so much more that could be done with the open world to improve all players experiences.

For starters, FC housing lots will be limited, therefor people will be up poop creek without a paddle if they are not in a FC that happens to be lucky enough to get a lot to build on, then what? Wait for 2.2 for Player only housing? yes makes complete sense.

Even then, FC housing is a guild house, not a place where people can express their individuality or show off their creativity side.

If you even remotely think that majority of the games population wants FC housing first over player housing, then you are just wrong.

Final note, I suggested they release FC & Player housing together, not separately.

When MMOs first came out the gaming abilities of the general populous were limited.

Fast forward to today and most of the MMO players have been playing for a decade or more these players have gotten better at this genre. Because of that content is being consumed much faster now than it was in what some might say was the "Golden Era" of MMOs back in the early 2000s.

It is true that most MMOs are going towards the feared "Casualization" but its because people don't have time to sit and play for hours and people are better at playing them and thus go through content much faster now than a decade ago.
This is a very poor and misunderstood misconception.

People in general have more time to play and social network across multiple media platforms in todays age. People are spending more time online then ever before. I keep expressing this over and over again. Because of the amount of social media network platforms in place today, if people are not playing this game, they are playing that game and if they aren't playing that game, they are playing another game and if they aren't playing another game, they are playing some other game and this can go on and on. This then is spread across many different platforms of gaming i.e. FPS, RTS, MMORPG, RPG, Indie etc.

The fact is, people are impatient today. They have no clue how to be happy with what they got or how to enjoy something for what it is and would rather whine and complain to get it changed. Companies in general have run so many pyshc evaluations on how the majority perceive their time spent playing for risk vs. reward today that they know that this WoW clone cookie cutter cow milking mentality will work because all they have to do is sell 2+ million copies of the game (not including revenue from subs) to cover the R&D of the game itself, everything from there is profit. Most games are proven to sell 4+ million copies of the bat due to over hype alone.

Anyways, as I said, this is another issue in of itself. We should start another thread for that.

    4 -- Leveling HPS
    5 -- Leveling Tank
    6 -- Primal Fights
    7 -- Dungeon Runs

I separate 1 and 2 as there is 'just' enough difference between the two. All primal fights are similar in nature, as are all dungeon runs. The only other activity is 'Story', but that sadly can be completed and not repeated.

Once someone has done each of the 7 above a few times, there are no new game activities for them. And it is very easy to do each of the 7 a couple times.

In future, they will hopefully add some more activities.

On top of this they had raids that could 10 times longer than they do now but do to health concerns and players complaining about length of time. If anything its somewhat our fault for wanting stuff quicker faster. The content itself still takes the same amount of time to create companies now are just making it that much easier to finish.

I would say that releasing 2.1 after new years is a bad idea. A LOTTTT of good games come out during the christmas times, but it is what it is. It would take them longer to separate the content out and release some of it now than if they just keep chucking and make that launch date after new years or w/e it is.

For me, the problem with 2.1 is the crystal tower difficulty/item level. But when I say that, I think it sucks for other people and not so much myself. When it gets released, I'll have just geared up my first DoW/M class in DL gear so I'll be running it and not be over geared, meaning it will be challenging to me. For others that have already cleared coil and are in 90 gear, I can imagine there isn't anything to look forward to because they will steamroll the dungeon and be done with the content in a matter of 1-2 weeks. When it comes to mmorps, I am usually one of those in that crowd where you look forward to new content because it's hard and rewarding when you beat it. If I had already completed coil and geared up, I would be very disappointed with the 2.1 patch.

Last official info about the date was this year, not next year.

This game after you beat the main story quest (which is fantastic by the way and certainly deserves credit where credit is due) is incredibly shallow. The leveling process being FATE grinding, the endgame having 2 regular dungeons people just speedrun cause they are so mindnumbingly boring, and one 'end game' raid dungeon where most of the bosses Coil 1-4 aren't even 1/2 as fun and engaging as Titan HM first was...

I'm definitely unsubbing until more is added. Sorry Yoshi, but if the real game starts at 50, well then you've sadly missed the point of how mmos (and life in general) should be about the Journey and not the Destination.
