Bard Nerfs Offically Confirmed

I just beat Garuda HM, so I'm no expert on Coil.

Coil is the last part of End Game, now... will it be when 2.2 hits? Is it wise to base all class balance on this 1 dungeon? Are these damage numbers true in other 'end game' dungeons? Do we want to re-balance when the new end game arrives?

I will admit that my mobility as a bard is pretty uber. Songs are great the few times I use them.

When I started a bard I thought I was going to be mostly support, and not dps. So I wouln't mind a nerf in dps as long as it came w/ a buff to support.

So punish those that actually read about the class to satisfy those that want bard to be something it is in different games and failed to read up about the class?

Bards are brought primarily for their songs and secondarily for their mobility+kiting ability paired with their burst.

They are as close to support as we have in the game.

As long as their dps is "comparable", and I'm fairly certain its still going to be comparable, people will still keep bringing bards.

If all your numbers suddenly read 5 dps lower, noone would even care.

I just want more support abilities for BRD. I really liked BRD in XI and was hoping BRD would be somewhat similar here, but here its just an out and out dps lol. They should have called it Ranger and remove all support >.> That would fix BRD. All the BRD's in here just care about DPS and not the actual notion of BRD as a job. Makes me sad it does. Oh and this is just my opinion not fact gospel or anything before i start getting flamed lol

Bard! Not multiple, are brought because they have 2 decent songs that can sometimes come in handy. Second reason is wrong... it would be because they have the easiest method of silence. No-one cares how mobile they are, or if they can kite.
