Go into KFC and request the Colonel's secret recipe. If they say no, then tell them that you pay for their food so they should give you the information.

All I'm saying is if they said "Emergency maintenance is scheduled for X reason" I'd feel a bit better about it. Being told every couple of days I can't log on and not told why is very annoying.

    Tell me. Where exactly did someone request that SE hands over all their code? Because that's basically what your comparison is.

    A more accurate comparison would be asking the KFC whether there's any ingredients that might cause an allergic reaction. Not a great comparison, but a lot better than yours.

    My argument was that Tegan wanted to know what the maintenance was for. Square has no responsibility to let her or even myself know every little thing that they are doing. The example was meant that Square like KFC is a private business where they don't have to let you know anything if they don't want to. If that is too hard to understand I'm sorry, your comparison was a reach.

    Yes I am paying them to have a service provided and apparently having even a small notice telling my why its unavailable is what, too difficult for them to provide?
