No free-jumping please SE. Compromise would be nice.. Jumping only in certain places.. where needed.
I don't play games like WoW because it looks like a giant 3D game of frogger.
I don't want to play Froggy Fantasy XIV.

Any MMO I have ever seen that had jumping (and I have seen MANY), everyone made that their primary mode of transportation. Jump CONSTANTLY EVERYWHERE YOU GO!!! Its horrendously obnoxious and kills any immersion or seriousness of plot and makes all 'fellow adventurers' look like special ed cases. DO NOT WANT JUMP PLEASE GOD NO!!!

Yeah..... It's true. People bounce places.. they don't run or walk. How would a person role-play in a world like that? Surrounded by frog people?

Jumping: Not needed to make a successful MMO (which has been proven many times)

If it's implemented, it's implemented and people will complain because it is incredibly retarded for a game like this. If it isn't implemented, the WoW generation will leave for a different MMO..like always.

Lol this is too rediculous, jumping is not a fr@#king issue, let the devs work on the something that matters for a while. btw there's nothing nextgen about jumping, even if you know nothing about video games the op layed out a brief history. clearly 1982 is not nextgen.

Seriously i'm annoyed by jump spammers too but, either way gameplay would not be effected in the slightest. gameplay improves with actual content and goals not ui or controls.
