    I mean I could do what you want, but mostly the problem is the rotation.

    Do you want to clip DoTs or not? Also if you want a true representation then no CDs would be used either.

    Also HS -> SS procs.

    EDIT: I decided to not do what you said, because most of it is extraneous to testing the core "does SS affect DoT uptime".

    Instead this is what I did.

    I no longer care about damage involved, but I am testing to see TRUE damage DoT uptime, as opposed to "actual" uptime.

    True uptime measures how many TICKs you have the DoT up for. Rather than "actual" uptime which measures well, game seconds you have your DoT up for.

    In this way true uptime is a more lenient, and also more fitting measurement.

    Incoming data.

    Oh and PS I was too lazy to get the formulas for SS into GCD reduction, but iirc its linear, so I'm just going to do tests at 2.5, 2.4, ... down to 2.0 skill speed and we can interpolate from there.

    Also also, for the sake of this experiment TP is infinite.

    Conclusion: Experiment variance far outweighs actual uptime differences. SS has little to no effect on human (simulated, with recast at sub 1 second, no clipping) DoT uptime.

    The MNK Simulator is complete (well, undergoing testing).

    I was having trouble hashing out the timings for when you can or cannot filler, so, its a pretty vanilla rotation right now.

    Please check to see if there are any glaring problems.

    PS no idea what to do for PB so basically...
    • Inside a fight (not opening), only use PB when GL stacks = 0, or when we are at no stance (or Raptor stance, since our raptor fillers are all awful).
    • Put up GL3 first.
    • Put up demo if no demo
    • Put up DK if no DK
    • Put up Twin if no Twin

    MNK does not seem to be outperforming DRG, unless AA is affected by GL speed bonus.

    EDIT: also, prior to adding in DoM classes, I am going to be gutting and rewriting the bulk of the engine code.

    The hopeful outcome of this is the allowance of multiple Player objects in the sim. This will allow loading of stats and an actual DPS sim instead of just PPS. Furthermore, this should allow me to consolidate all the different sim engines into one without much (if any) performance penalty.

    Furthermore will allow players to have their own rotations...and multiple simultaneous simulations for raid simming.

    I anticipate this will take around 1 week...hopefully someone can get me DL(w/ Relic, relic+1) and BiS (allagan + af2) sets for the 3 DoW classes so I can put the numbers in.

    I'm going to be using formulas from valk blitzball so if this turns out to be wrong well, blame them.

    At the end of this (possibly after DoM classes are finally added), I plan on porting the code to C#.NET and then making a GUI.

    Player rotation scripting is still far down the road though.

    If the sim does not indicate Monks out-DPSing Dragoons over a sustained fight, the problem is probably with the sim or something odd. But who knows? Shrug.

    In any case, couple questions:

    1. How are you inflicting TOD? I may be missing something, but I don't see the GCD being used to apply TOD.

    2. I notice the fight duration is 60000. That's 10 minutes? Is the Monk running out of TP later in the log? Dropping GL3? Edit: *puts on reading glasses*. Even though the TP is set to infinite for the sim, is it executing accurately later on for having infinite TP?

    3. Is the GL3 damage buff and FOF applying to the autoattacks as well?

    1. ToD's message wasn't being displayed correctly (wrong flag) but a GCD was used to apply it. This has been fixed.
    2. It should be...one thing I noticed is the rotation is using demolish too late (aka too many ID fillers, should remove one if Demo will drop in between a gcd). I'll get to fixing it.
    3. GL3 is not applying for autoattacks (the speed portion, that is) -should it? FoF is applying to everything. If it doesn't affect DoTs i can pretty easily move it out.
    4. Duration increased to 72000 (12 minutes) because this is the LCM of the 60, 80, 90, 120, and 180 second cooldowns. Who knows if this is more representative, but meh.

    Oh the big thing: I applied and tracked TWIN but didn't apply it to damage. Monks should be outdoing DRG by ~10% now.

    GL3 should not be applying haste for autoattacks (probably). But the damage, yes.

    Who knows, it may actually affect it ... that's actually not hard to test ... just need to do it ... ... ...

    You lose ~2% dps while being much, much more efficient. I would say worth it, except while buffed drop BS for ID/FR.

    EDIT: I just wanted to say how surprised I am that MNK outperforms DRG. Looking at the potency numbers, MNK numbers are super tiny. But the quadratic increase by GL stacks and also all the other buffs MNKs get I guess push them to be better!

    Pretty neat to see in action. Also I'm glad I didn't have a million MNK players shoving abuse down my throat for daring to think they might not be on top.

    At least the sim should have some measure of legitimacy now, and also hopefully will prove reliable (pretty sure all bugs have been removed).

    EDIT2: also looking at the numbers, unless someone can figure out exactly what "increase skill damage by 20%" passives BRDs have actually does (and whether or not that is baked into DRG/MNK damage), it seems that unless there is a huge amount of disconnect, both melee classes handily outdps even "perfect reflexes" BRD, that isn't singing.

    So maybe a nerf is not necessitated. Unless of course, the Increase Skill Damage is literally just a stacked 20% buff, in which case, wow, BRDs need a nerf =P

    panda, can you do me a favor and show the DoT damage and cycles (i.e. CT_END and PH_END) in the Dragoon rotation? You show the DoT damage and cycles in the Monk rotation but not the Dragoon (not saying it isn't factored in, I just want to see the numbers). This seems to have been the final Dragoon one you posted:
