In that build, the warrior has meleded to get full vitality on all accessory slots (so it has, actually, in point of fact, stacked vitality). Of course, a paladin could wear the exact same melds and get teh same benefit. So yes, I still maintain, that if you want to compare the classes, they should be in equal gear. If the warrior is using quin meld accessories to maintain vitality and get extra str/dex, you gotta give it to the pally.
Allllllso, that build has gone to such great lenghts, (and given up quite a lot of vitality, over 1k effective hp actually, compared to full i90 accessories) to cap out parry mitigation.. which... just isn't worth it. I parry at a 23% damage reduction in my current build, but block at 25 or 26 (I forget). This build only cliams a 2% increase to damage parried. Also, no matter how far a warrior pumps their parry rate, it'll never add up to as much chance to mitigate as paladin's net between parry and block (since ever attack is checked first for block, then checked again for parry on paladin, we get two checks vs jsut your parry check).

Just curious, which turns and which roles do you tank? I really want to know more about how geared warrior preforms. Got any vids?
Quoted for truth. I rip hate off our paladins left and right. It's so incredibly easy.Anything a PLD can tank with sword oath on is content that is massively out-geared. For things that matter, the PLD will have shield oath on, the WAR will have defiance active, and the WAR will out-DPS and out-threat the PLD all day long.
You can maths this, and theory-craft that all you like. At the end of the day though, I haven't yet met a PLD that could keep hate off me when I want it. My raid uses me (WAR) and a PLD to tank coil and the parser I use shows me a solid 20-40% (depending on the fight) ahead of the PLD in my raid. I can't count the number of times I have pulled threat accidentally on ADS and adds because I wasn't paying attention and used Butcher's Block instead of Storm's Eye. Rips it right off him in 1-3 combos, no matter what. You can't even try to tell me that he's just bad, because honestly, you CANT screw up the Rage of Halone combo.
The DPS on PLD only exceeds WAR in Sword Oath (which I highly doubt you'll want to use in coil) but he is correct. PLDS can out DPS a WAR.
We still haven't seen the notes on the buffs which means I'd wait before making any negative comments.
Just because WARs are getting buffed doesn't mean they'll out do PLDs and you'll have Dual WARs instead of PLDs. The fact PLDs can already do the content means they'll always be viable. WARs can't do the content at all. So why people are against this buff is beyond me.
What are you smoking ? I have both PLD and WAR at 50. My WAR Does more DPS even in Defiance than my Sword Oath PLD. Now Take off Defiance and Throw in Maim and Storm Eye and My PLD doesnt stand a Chance. I have relic on both, and the geared is shared.
PLD Gets Fight or Flight (on cooldown), Circle of Scorn (On Cool Down) & Sword Oath to Boost DPS.
Warrior Gets: Maim, Storm Eye, Berserk, Internal Release, Fracture, Vengence, which all boost DPS. Maim, Fracture and Storm Eye dont have cool downs so we can keep them up the whole fight.
Plus WAR Have Higher Potency Attacks with Highest being 300 and one thats has 280 Potency which we can spam every 7.5 secs. PLD highest is 300 also but you'll never get the benefit of having its full potency because its weak if your not full HP. All these Factors Make War Better DPS.

well i hope they give to war more mitigation, someting like more parry % like % pld block!!
It Blow My Mind that SE made the tank that is more difficult (also more fun) to play the weaker tank.Warrior would require more skill then paladin to maintain it's tanking ability. Paladin is straight mitigation, and war heals itself. If they keep the warrior concept as it is it'd be just like choosing MRD over GLD all over again. People chose to play both classes not just MRD.
