OMG I RUSHED TO GET EVERYTHING TO MAX LEVEL AND GET MAX GEAR WHY IS THIS GAME SO BOOORRRING!!!!>??!?!!!

Welcome to all MMOs where there are the people who take their time getting to the end and enjoy the ride and then there's the people who's e-penis dictates they must be maximum power overdrive everything. No surprise when you rush to the end level and rush to end gear that you then get bored after achieving them. You skipped tons of content in your hurry and it's your fault.

Dsanchez don't even try to claim WoW was any better because it wasn't and isn't. On release the game was terribad and there are long stretches where the hardcore raiders get extremely bored. I know this because I was one of those people for over a decade. I was always on the bleeding edge of whatever MMO I was on. I started WoW in beta and then I quit several times over because I would get bored with the end game and then come back when they added content only to be bored again shortly.

I know I had this same thing myself with WoW a few years back, I was just 'done' with that type of MMO. I went off to play EvE Online which imo is the only other MMO out there that is truly different from these carebear MMO's.
HAHAHHAHA Carebear MMO. Eve is every bit of as carebear as any other mmo out there. If you're in nullsec you're surrounded by a sea of blue and you even have a couple chat rooms to tell you if anyone is in your area that shouldn't be. Nulbears are probably the worst thing in that game as they pretend they are hardcore but they aren't. At least the "carebears" in highsec know what they are and embrace it.

Oldschool Lineage 2 was the real deal. There was no way to make a safe area for your and your allies. The only place you were safe was in a town and not even always there. You dropped items on death to mobs (to people too possibly), lost experience and could de-level. There were long stretches where not even the bots were max level. In comparison eve is a playground with rubber coated equipment.

I took my time levelling, enjoyed every facet of the game I could, I levelled several crafter classes to 50, farmed the mats for and synthesized my relic precursor weapon, converted my own crafted weapons into the correct materia and melded it myself, I farmed all of my own darklight, and then used some profits to buy peacock ore to make my own rose gold with my own, materia melded GSM, of which almost all of the materia was converted myself through crafter jewelry spiritbonding in CM.

I've read every quest, watched every cutscene in full, i've completed every single quest I could find, either on my main or on one of my two alt classes.

I am now bored, clearing as much of coil each week as we have time for with my FC. The only thing I have left to do is 2 days of grinding myth tomes in AK each week (even my super casual dad and my work friend who play with me are already bored after 20ish AK runs).

Can you tell me what I rushed? What content I may have skipped? There are alot of people here, like me.. who didnt skip anything and are still bored. This game is painfully easy, and if you play with any amount of efficiency you can churn through this mindlessly easy content they currently have in no time, until you hit HM Titan and Coil (at which point you get an FC and VOIP). That's all most of us have left to do. Saying that people 'rushed' is just not a valid excuse.

It's obvious our perception on time is different. Your inability to see that combined with your obvious belief that you took your time because it's OMG ALMOST BEEN two months since release leads me to believe you're still quite young. When you get older and have real life responsibilities or even a kid you'll quickly realize what taking your time is.

From my perspective you rushed several classes to 50 as you said. It's as simple as that.

My suggestion for you is maybe you should take time to enjoy stuff in a game. Make some friends do some whacky fun things and don't focus on the level or itemlevel of your toon..

In all likelihood you'll just flutter to some other MMO and then complain about it being BORING after a month or so.

So... if i'm reading this right then. Because people levelled faster than you, then they rushed to 50 and have no reason to provide input about a poorly planned endgame? (of which, I suspect you have absolutely no experience of?)

    Right...

You rushed to the end game and you rushed the end game so you really shouldn't be surprised when you find yourself bored. It's much easier to clear content then it is to produce it. Anyone that joins a game at this stage in development should be well aware of the lack of end game. EVen the vaunted WoW had very little end game when it was released. It took years for Blizzard to get the end game content rolling. It'll take time for SE to get the end game rolling here.

Having said that your post isn't constructive at all. OMG"Z THERE"S NO END GAME I"M BORED WTFBBQ?!!! Isn't providing the developer with any sort of usable feed back. I'm pretty sure that SE is aware of the rushers wanting more end game to rush.

SO you have a choice of QQing like you are or providing posts that are constructive. For example instead of just asserting that the end game is poorly planned provide reasons why you believe the end game is poorly planned. Provide examples of how you would improve end game.

I've given my constructive feedback in other threads already, i am posting now simply because you (like others) are making this statement that people who level faster than you rushed the endgame. I am posting to simply tell you, I played the game, I enjoyed the different facets, I didn't rush at all. Yeah I play more than 3 hours a week, if the goal of this game was to be played and completed by people who play less than 2-3 hours per week... then I think we have a right to complain about paying $15 per month for a game with practically no content. It did take blizzard some time to get that endgame content rolling, but it was also much more difficult than the laughable faceroll we have now. I never felt like I had run out of content in WoW, and I played that more back in 2004 (up until I had to quit for my last two years of university in 2006) than I play FF14 now.

All i'm posting here is to say that defining "you play more hours than I do, therefore you have no reason to complain about the lack of content because you obviously rushed it" is not a valid defense for SEs lack of endgame content.

    Your name suits you.

Game is 2 months old, using that excuse is straight up naive...

Maybe FFXIV isn't really suited to people used to play with a more 'hardcore' attitude. In short, not for people used to play 6-8 hours a day

You're right, the current end game is designed for people who play 3-4 hours PER WEEK.

Not a sustainable business model for a monthly sub MMO at all.

Are people still playing that "You rushed to endgame!" card over 2 months after release? Really? I have friends who work fulltime, went away on vacation for 3 weeks and are level 50 with a relic. The excuse no longer works, if you honestly think it takes over 2 months to get 50 in this game without rushing I don't know what to say. Use your brain, I guess.

Leveling is super quick and easy, you'd have to basically afk in town or go out of your way to not gain EXP and takes more than 2 months to ding 50.

1.5 million last reported and going on its 3rd month without a major update - It seems to be sustained just nicely.
