The video is just further proof of how badly the fight is designed and that twister is indeed bugged. My company alone has some 75 different variations of surviving twister,each with a 50-75% success rate. I don't know of any other mechanic in a game where you can do the wrong thing and be rewarded for it which made any progression frustrating and boring since you had to sit through 10 mins of mind numbing and buggy mechanics for 2-3 chances a pull to try and figure out which dance around the twister would allow you to live.
