To answer OPs questions. Yes i have resubscribed. And I am having a great time. Once i max out for the week i craft and level other classes. I love wearing HQ items i have made for my lower classes. As a bonus i see my wife and kids more. Moderation in all things.

Already resubscribed. The end game is here, OP just isn't patient enough to experience it. Sure, there's a lot of Amdapor Keep grinding every week, but that usually doesn't really eat up a lot of my time. The real key here is to get with a good free company if you want to do end game. My free company isn't yet ready for Binding Coils, but we're all gearing up together and having a good time doing it.

Yes nowhere near the end game yet. Also don't understand these posts as SE has stated what is coming out for 2.1 and what they are working on in the future. Its not like they will see this and pull content out of some secret compartment and there will be content. You have seen the current future of what's coming out and when just decide and either continue to play or move on as no matter what this is not mass production and they can't make content in a week that will last a month.

Yeah, because I still want to:

Level my WHM, SCH, and PLD so I can help people clear lower level instances.

Level my crafting classes to help gear the newer members of my FC.

Level Fishing so that I can decorate the crap out of my FC's house in december.

Explore areas of the map that I haven't seen yet.

Play through all of the stories for each guild.

Max my rank in the Maelstrom and start ranking up in another GC.

Establish a nook in the market and start making a bit of gil while supplying the community.

Get everyone in my FC leveled and geared so that we can all run coil together.

Get a group of ACN together to run full ACN/SCH/SMN groups through dungeons.

Experiment with group composition and boss strats.

And a bunch of other stuff I can't think of right now.

To the OP, don't blame the game because you have a limited preference. This is a huge game with plenty to do, don't blame it because all you want to do is grind one small part of a massive experience.

BTW: I have Bard leveled and pretty well geared, Dex is well over 400. I don't sit in Mordhona and wait for PUGs/DF to match me up, I queue the DF or let people in Mordhona know I'm interested, then I go do other stuff. This game allows you to play it however you want, you should try doing more than one thing.

Having a blast! Grinding tomes isn't that bad. If i get bored I just switch to a different job to run the dungeon, monk gets old, then I switch to BRD and when that gets old switch to whm. I still have to level LNC for BfB and level up my chocobo. Finally got GSM to 50, now I want my luminary. Miner has 10 more levels to go before 50.

Finished my NQ relic now 1 week to +1 and I still have to finish gearing WHM and BRD. Started BRD relic quest, so if anything I feel like there is not time to accomplish all I would like. That is of course my opinion. I do not hold it against anyone for quiting the game because they are bored; I do, however, question the motivation for threads such as this. If anything I am looking forward to a slight decrease in population. I do not want a mass exodus, but I would feel good about a small decrease.

No, you simply don't understand the purpose of criticism. Criticism doesn't require one to provide fixes. Criticism is criticism. The real question, is why are you taking criticism, leveled a professional business, personally enough to accuse it of trolling? Why are you even reading it?

as for the subject:
Yes I'm resubscribing. Well, have resubscribed. Why? Because I enjoy the game. The upcoming content patch is promising a lot of big additions as well. Plus I want the loyalty rewards. As for end game, there is plenty of it. Far more than any of the dozens of mmorpgs I've played in nearly fifteen years.

I just wish there was more to it than dungeons. Hopefully housing will provide more end game activities.

It's funny to see players who joined two months ago complain about (what is for them) a brand new MMO that they've zerged their way through to 50, then complain there's not enough content... in the two month old MMO... which hasn't even gotten it's first major patch let alone expansion.

Lesson of the day, folks: don't rush to endgame in a brand new MMO. It's always the same story.

Tbh, after work and my social life I wish days were 26 hours long just so I could have time to accomplish everything I want to do in game. I always log off with a list of things I wish I had time to do. So I don't really understand posts where people say they have nothing to do. It sounds like you just don't want to do it, which is fine, but do we need a forum post every time? These forums feel like Twitter sometimes.

They are releasing a pre coil Raid because it is missing. BCB is Item Level 90. Darklight is actually not the gear you should be doing Coil with, IL80 from CT is. People in coil were undegeared from the get go. I mean look at the world first (only that I know of) twintania (turn 5 kill). Most of their members have 6+ pieces of IL 90 gear. And even they had people dieing all over the place. They won by keeping their shit together and getting their raises out ASAP and not raising up at the wrong time.

Full IL80 gear with some pieces of IL90 will make BCB mechanic based, people will have the gear to live through crap like getting hit by 1 prism lazer on the ADS, or screwing up an add wave on turn 4.

And let's not forget that the Primal Ultimate modes are coming out with Crystal Tower and if Titan is any Indication to that, it will take people weeks to down one of those, if not longer.

To answer OP's question. No! I havent played for a while since there is nothing to do really.

- I think having a cap on mythology tokens per week as a sad mechanic. It feels like they put an artificial cap on the progression
- Increase the quality of dungeons and allow multiple routes and add NMs. Make "sky" / "sea" dungeons. Make me want to invest time and resources into endgame. Do not focus solely on the boss battles.
- The RMT situation is completely out of hand. I know you cannot prevent RMTs but you sure can design the game with it in mind...
- I am insulted that I have to endure AFKers in pug dungeons and that I don't have to tools to deal with it. It is not impossible to design a vote-kick that cannot be exploited.
- Why 9x125 philostones for mats to craft inferior endgame armour? I dont understand...

I just lost my faith in FFXIV. I gave it a fair chance, but there is a lot of weird deliberate design choices or lacks thereof that destroys the experience.
Also even though some would argue that FFXIV is a casual game, I do not think any of the above mentioned problems has got anything to do with how casual/hardcore the game is intended. I mean they want us to stay subscribed right?
