    Actually it was only MC, BWL wasn't out for almost 6 months later. They also had UBRS/LBRS/MC at launch. Just becuase people are "using" the content, once they beat Coil, there is nothing to do. Crafting/ Leveling Multiple jobs isn't content, so that point is moot. Housing is not content. I fail to see what content you are referring to. Since the game start at 50 quoted by Yoshida himself, I fail to see what content you are referring to.

    No, the level cap changed to 55 after 4 months. Also start of endgame with the inclusion of HNMs.

    And as for launch, of course people mean when it launched for them, not in Japan.

    Your post makes no sense at all. Not seeing to what achievements you are talking about. The boss is impossible, you are obviously not raiding Coil, so you have no idea what you are talking about. Yes, with release, there was AK and Coil being the only way to get myth, so....yeah one dungeon and one raid. AK is still the best way to get myth tokens so that remains unchanged. We were world 5th non-legacy clearing turn 4 so yep no video-watching or anything like that.

    That just sounds to much like someone asking for an FPS to break new grounds, or for Madden football to release somethings that's not a clone of itself.

    Each game does bring a small uniqueness into effect. Sometimes these changes are viewed as not enough, other times people will claim that they have gone to far.

    I stand by the fact that the MMO community has no idea what they actually want out of a game. This was made even stronger after GW2 (Everyone believed the Holy Trinity was the worst thing ever until then), and it has the potential to be right again with EQNext. The more different you make things, the more the players will view the changes as just a gimmick and get turned off once they see through it.

    Innovation is a myth, it's a disguise for rehashing what already exists in hopes that the players won't realize it.

    Once they beat Coil, there'll be nothing to do...for now (except maybe continue to run it for gear). We're getting Crystal Tower, PvE and a new dungeon (can't find the name currently) in 2.1 for battle content. Sure, the stuff might drop gear that's lower iLevel than Coil, but Titan also drops stuff lower iLevel than Coil, and everybody has to do that for a quest. We have no idea what the Crystal Tower will yield as far as PHATLEWTZ.

    The cool thing about the MMORPG genre is that things get added with every patch. It's pretty much confirmed that you'll always have something to work towards in each major update.

    My mistake on the months, the site I saw listed day/month instead of month/day for this one listing.

    And it still counts. The game was getting updates for a year before we got it. Just because we got it later doesn't mean that's when the content started.

    you're wasting your breath, its the want it now generation and wow kiddies that expect every new mmo to have years worth of content at launch.. simply forgetting where all mmo's start, and that's with little content at first. even wow had crap for content.. MC was NOT out at launch.. fun fact.

    Myth tome cap being per job and coil lock out timer being 1 week/char is the only thing holding this game back. I love this game, but how can I justify a $13/month sub for 45 mins(how long my group takes to clear turn1-4) of challenging/fun content per week? Then another hour of capping myth tomes for a grand total of 2 hours of content to progress my character per week? This is NOT a sustainable business model.

    It's not even about the gear or progress for me anymore, I just want to PLAY, but I can't, 1 week lock outs for a 45 minute dungeon exist. This is KILLING the game for me, my LS/FC and a lot of my friends as well. Please fix coil lock outs and myth tome cap SE; ;

    the thing is with new content that drops lesser tiered gear then everyone is gonna run it once to see it then never run it again ( alts aside) people want stuff to do for their main not endless alt gear grinding

    Fun fact, it was. Also WoW lasted a lot longer leveling wise and gearing up to even get into MC. Where as FFXIV you could level and gear up in a week and walk into Coil.

    Pretty much this. Outside of doing it once, there is zero reason to do it again for your main. You can clear Coil in 70 gear, which pretty much makes CT a generally pointless raid.
