Prior to patches that was impossible but all the crying about "I got stuck on a rock" made them increase he tolerance for scaling sheer cliffs.

The cliff in the part 2 video is far too high for your character to jump up anyways (shouldn't even be able to run up it.) Could jump off it, but I would think you'd hurt yourself.
