Why is this topic still open? We got jump, it's implemented beautifully and it's useful (though could be a bit better) this thread is no longer needed.
I personally don't care about jumping. I don't care if they add it at all. I don't see a use for it except to climb stuff.

Probably why hard core RPG players are sick of current games. THe redundant, retarded, bunny hoppign of players all over the place. It is redundant, cartoonish, and annoying.
It's already redundant in GW 2, which jsut isn't feeling well polished, Rift feels more complete then GW2, at least in current beta form.
FFXI and XIV are about story, community, that feeling you can't get from the other a typical mmo's.
25-50 people on screen hopping aroudn on mounts and jumping around a fountain because they are bored is one thing I am glad isn't in FFXIV.
op is a idiot.
Jumping has it's uses, one of them being the inclusion of diversity in what you can do ie, exploration on a different axis. I'm looking forward to seeing it in action.

That all depends on if they actually take that into consideration with the level design. In the current world, it would just be awkward. Especially coming upon cliffs.
Honestly, I think a Zelda style auto-jump would work just fine.

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)
