Well, that statement isn't entirely wrong. I'm sure there are people who could beat say Demon Wall with their monitor turned off. That doesn't mean showing you a blank screen is a good way to represent the world. You shouldn't have to play better to overcome the game's deficiencies.
Yes it does always works on Titan/Coil during lag. Foresight a god given skill where repetative actions just imprints in your brain and you instinctively jump out of the way. Since every fight/mob is scripted I have 0 sympathy for this lag QQ you either wait it out while they work on it since they know it's an issue or just PLAAAAAYYY BETTTERRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The point here is that they have known its an issue since early stages of beta and have made no serious attempts to fix it, and everything they actually do say in relation to it sounds more like they are trying to pretend the issue doesn't exist than fixing it. Just look at how many pages this thread has without a SE reply, but the one on adding Fantasia to the Mog station gets one at half the number of pages?? It's easy to say "Just wait until they fix it", but if no one complains about it they have no reason to fix it.Yes it does always works on Titan/Coil during lag. I'm pretty sure SE doesn't consider this an issue because you don't just accidentally setup your game architecture the way FF14 does. The game's lag is very deliberate and not something that's the result of cheap hardware, but rather something fundamentally built into the game itself. The point here is that they have known its an issue since early stages of beta and have made no serious attempts to fix it, and everything they actually do say in relation to it sounds more like they are trying to pretend the issue doesn't exist than fixing it. So what we are saying is that it's intentional to get hit with aoe although you have moved way out of the marked area in line with the visual indication, and that you can also avoid this by running out then back in? This may be deliberate, but it seems to be the same as deliberately setting vehicle parking sensors to the wrong range:I'm pretty sure SE doesn't consider this an issue because you don't just accidentally setup your game architecture the way FF14 does. Bang! - don't complain that you've just reversed into another car when you where getting a signal that there was plenty of room, it's a deliberate feature.
If they are going to stick with the built in delay then just adjust the visual timings to correct these. At the moment they are incorrect, a flaw in the game mechanics.
I can't wait for you to play PVP, I would love to see your "Foresight" working there.Yes it does always works on Titan/Coil during lag. I'll post again.

Me dodging WotL at 99%. I do not doubt that some people do not enjoy the same latency as I can in the UK.
This was as close as I could get to interrupt under 100ms

They nerfed the damage radius of wotl. You can stand where you were standing at 70% and take 0 damage. So no, you didn't dodge the damage area at 90%, you dodged it at around 60%I'll post again.

To be fair that video only has about 17 pixels in it so he might have dodged at 90%, or that might be a video of cats jumping on a trampoline, really can't say. Video aside Namko still doesn't understand the issue and so incorrectly thinks that because he sometimes doesn't notice the latency, that it isn't an issue for everyone (it is).
I'll repeat an earlier offer for anyone who is still confused: Post a video showing your character successfully canceling say, 8 spell casts in a row, with less than .3s remaining, and I'll be happy to buy you a 3-month sub. This is extremely easy to do in any other MMO, so unless FFXIV has the worst latency in the industry (it does), it should be extremely easy to do here.
