Bard Nerfs Offically Confirmed

If it's just a mobility nerf, meaning rooted in place for some moves, charge up for others, with a few left over with neither done, probably on the GCD, sorry to say for those of you applauding the nerf for the Bards, we'll still be picked over them just because we can still spam the moves that AREN'T being nerfed by mobility.

The mobility nerf is what i hope does not happen. My favorite part of bard is it's ability to kite and i almost single handedly took down Cutter's Cry Chimera by myself cause we wiped at the end. I would have done it too but i ran the wrong way on a dragon's voice. The best idea would be to make the trait increased action damage only active when standing still. This would lower our dps while on the move but not change our mechanics and the fun of our class.

They could easily make it like the WoW survival hunter's Sniper training back in the day.. make it activate only after standing still for atleast 3 seconds

rift marksman had small ground aoe buffs they could place to give themselves increased dmg while standing inside it.

I love the kiting as I have taken down Cutter's Cry Chimera 3 times solo starting from 40% health and lower since party wiped lol.

Ill enjoy playing my BRD nerfs or no nerfs. SE just need to make their mind up what role we are gonna be actually playing. Replacing CNJ with MNK for our second class, keeping the healer limit break......just sound to me like they haven't got a clue how to solve it. Maybe now all the scrubs that have complained so much (yet are all secretly levelling BRD's) can be happy now.

I figured the 20% reduce from playing songs was bad enough but if we do even less damage then I won't want to play that class any more and I can see a lot of others wouldn't want to either. SE should just leave the class alone, we already suck enough DPS wise there is no need to make it worse for us.

And people are surprised about the nerf? You think it's unfair? Really? It's unfair to anyone who isn't a bard that bards have been OP so long. Have a little grace because bards do indeed need to be toned down.

Way to throw in an argumentum ad hominem. The fact of the matter is that BRD currently IS the weakest on the DPS charts. The reason it appears to be strong is due to how easy it is to play BRD.

However if you have an expert MNK and an expert BRD, certainly the MNK will have to be more skilled to be called an "expert" but as a result will deal more damage.

As a BRD myself I don't care about the nerfs; all jobs will get nerfed and buffed at some point I'm sure. Considering BRDs are valued for their silence, songs, mobility and steady DPS in specific situations I can't see BRDs being excluded from content.
