Always have a receiving latency of at least 2000, today it spiked to 12,000 when I tried to walk forwards.

By using traces, the people being routed through certain nodes owned by TATA seem to have the problem, look at previous posts in this topic.
This one is very detailed, and explains the problem quite well though. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post1302642

The answer might confuse me though.By using traces, the people being routed through certain nodes owned by TATA seem to have the problem, look at previous posts in this topic.

-last week was much better but still laggy, this week terrible
-Getting out of aoe is impossible...
That's interesting. I play in two locations. One routes through tata and has lag generally around 2pm eastern. The other routes through cogent and while I don't generally play at the same time there it never lags.By using traces, the people being routed through certain nodes owned by TATA seem to have the problem, look at previous posts in this topic.

Depending on your physical location, and ISP, you'll have a different route to a host. Sometimes that route can even change throughout the day if the backend routing tables update for some reason.
I'm on TWC in socal and my normal route goes though a TATA palo alto hop where the problem is. I use a VPN service that routes me to the east coast first, and it bypasses TAT completely...so no more lag for me
