Yes very nice alienate people because you have a stick up your arses half the people who mock are nothing more than grifers you damn well know what the op meant and you choose to pick them apart shame on mods allowing it.
This is a community and if your goal is to dump on anyone who does not meet your high standards then you might want to read the terms of service of forums use.
there are many ways to correct someone by being nice no need to be rude and hostile.
congrats on server transfer and enjoy the game, ignore the correction police they need to feel important in a video game at the cost of making someone else feel bad.

Then again, if you are into a community with his own terminology, you should try to stick to it to ease communication, is rude to try to push your way of speak, but its also rude to point out something that you surely got what was a person referring to and saying that he/she should speak proper language. So... just keep it nice

Either you're on something good, or Google translate butchered your spanish more than I would have with my 3 years from HS.Supongo que cada quien le llama a las cosas como las entiende y se acostumbra a decirles inicialmente

Anyway, I am taking a stab in the dark here as to your point, but using the word toon instead of character is vastly different than using Spanish on an English forum.
Toon is widely accepted in it's use, and unlike that stuff up above, everyone knows exactly what the OP is trying to say. People just have nothing better to do than get all up in a huff over "toon". I think from here on out I'll start using it if only for the shits and giggles that inevitably follows.
I don't know how to feel that you pointed my Spanish as the one less legible, as I am born, raised and living in Mexico hahaha, but yeah, of course I was exaggerating the point by posting in Spanish.
But as for me, it is actually the first time I've seen toon used to refer to a char in a MMO context, but then again, I only played FFXI for the last 6~7 years, a couple of free MMOs before that and even before that even the betas of RO (and private servers when it went p2p). Still, as I said, I got the reference and understand the need to poke fun and stuff, this community has some kind of bad vibe when someone shows its WoW or FFXI roots... its kinda scary
Nothing against your Spanish. The Google translation was quite interesting thoughPoorly worded joke on my part I think..
Hey, when you ask for a carbonated beverage do you call it a soda, a pop or a coke?
There is only one correct answer, choose carefully.![]()
Problem with 'toon' is it is in no way an accurate description of what you're referring to. A toon is a character in a cartoon, especially 80s cartoons like Tiny Toon Adventures. It is not a character in a maturely-aimed MMORPG.
