Why Was My Transfer Declined?

- Your character may be enlisted in a free company, or may have signed to a free company petition.
- Your character may be currently logged into the game.
- Your character's retainer may currently have items for sale.
- The calamity salvager may still possess items from your inventory (only applicable to characters transferred from Version 1.0).
- Your character's retainer has not been rehired (only applicable to characters transferred from Version 1.0).
- One or more characters subject to transfer may be located in the Mordion Gaol.
- One or more characters subject to transfer may have logged out while in an instanced area.

I've done everything on this list. What could possibly be going wrong now?

1. Did you rehire your 1.0 retainers back ? Both of them ?
2. You're sure you have nothing left on the salvager ? Not even the event items right ? (those were separate no ?) Or that materia tab ?
3. The INN is an instanced area, you're not in an INN no ? Or some other story bit.
4. You don't have any mails left on moogle mail no ? It could be a cause even if it's not listed.

GRR. After 6 hours of updating/refreshing and populating the server list to 45 servers none of them being the ones I want to transfer to. I get reset back to only seeing 'Tonberry' just now. My day is RUINED. Where can I find a puppy to punch?

Hey guys, I have a solution to this problem and others, something I like to call the "World Pass Reborn"!
The "World Pass Reborn" would, as Final Fantasy XI vets have probably surmised, allow its owner to transfer to another server!
There would be a few ways to acquire this in-game item:

You could buy it from an NPC for the low cost of more gil than you really want to spend or likely have at hand; probably you would have to scrounge for a few weeks to afford it. Thus this would also help fight mudflation!

It could drop from dungeon trash, which has the added benefit of encouraging players to kill all enemies. An increased chance to drop when a party member is doing the dungeon for the first time would help ensure veterans are kind to newbies.

It would also be a possible drop from fishing; this should help address complaints about fishing not being profitable.

Naturally, some will get their pass sooner than others, so the transfers will be staggered; since not everyone will be trying to transfer at the same time, everyone will be able to transfer successfully!

So what do you guys think?

Well, after trying it off and on throughout the day, it worked for me just now. I'd taken a break for a few hours, then when I finally logged in to give it another go, it went through first time. No F5'ing necessary. I hope it works out soon for those still having troubles.

1. I didn't have a retainer in 1.0
2. Yes just checked again.
3. I logged out in Old Gridania
4. No mails.

Still no idea what to do..

well i just transfered from sargatanas to masamune. and it's finished less than 5 minutes

Ugh working for me now and Behemoth isn't on there, but Balmung is(which is also supposedly closed according to char creation thread). Come onnnnnn.
