A friend of mine was able to first thing when the transfers went live but i havent heard of anyone since then

I just moved a char from Coeurl to Famfrit. Took less than 5 mins.logged in and hes there now.

My brother just transferred from Ridill to Sargatanas

OK it's now showing all available servers for me to transfer to (legacy AND non-legacy, even though I can't transfer to non-legacy). This means that the server I want, Excalibur, isn't on the list until it's no longer restricted, I guess.

This is SAD. Mu bf is stuck in Zalera... And i'm stuck in Excalibur....

Please.....just let me transfer over to Ultros. Everyone in my FC is there, and all of my RL friends.

Guys, you can only transfer to servers that do not have character-restriction imposed on them. Behemoth/Hyperion has been restricted for a long time now, and I suspect will still be restricted even when the free transfers end. Once that ends, it'll be 20 bucks for paid transfer. Also, once you've transferred there's a 3-day cooling off period where you can't perform any more transfers till this is over.

Balmung is available to transfer to, and it is listed as unavailable for creation on the status page.

I say they should IGNORE character creation restrictions when doing world transfers. People know congested servers are more likely to have queues, and if people on a congested server don't want queues, they can transfer to an uncongested server. I don't care to sit in a queue for an hour as long as I get to play with my brother and my RL friends.
