I've said it before I'm all for hardcore content as long as it's not a time sink. Things like leveling, some quests, missions should be solo able but there should also be things that you need a full party for. XI was my first MMO and it will always hold a place in my heart. I once had the time to play it for hours on end. Now I don't.

Between work, girlfriend, family, friends and enjoying other parts of life I don't have much time to spend on a game. So if I only have an hour or so to play a day I should be able to see myself progressing. I know I may get flamed but these are my views of what an MMO should be. Playing an MMO helps me keep my entertainment budget low. Since they are always adding new things to do it doesn't get old.

I just wanted to say that. A lot of people would say "go play an offline game" just wanted to point out why I play online games.

I BELIEVE the reason people would say this is because MMOs have been getting dumbed down and pretty much all challenge taken out of it because of people who can't play long and want to play the MMO. You can't keep both camps happy because one side will complain.

For example a lot of MMOs now have content you can blow through solo or blow through very quickly because of how easy and less time intensive it is. So those that can play harder content or for longer periods a day, they can't get content designed for them because more people want content designed for their limited playstyle and well, here's where we are MMO wise these days.
