Good god you are daft. Welfare is for people who can't do anything for themselves. The OP is saying why should it take 2 weeks minimum to get anything? Casual players would take the 2 weeks regardless maybe a week and a half if the cap wasn't there because they wouldn't have time to put into the game. Hence the term casual. Hardcore players would be able to get all their AF2 pieces within a month which they aren't able to do now.

Welfare is when you get something for free without having to work for it. Last I checked, if you got rid of the cap, you'd still have to earn the tomes from doing AK runs or whatever form you choose to use for your myth tomes. You saying that this is welfare is basically like saying your paycheck for the work you did was welfare. Terrible argument and makes you look like a douche.

Here is a form of welfare and what happens when systems go wrong. This is free handouts taken to the extreme.

This just in: now there is such a thing as a hardcore newb.

As other people have said: want to work for your gear and get them faster? Run and clear coil.

Welfare is for people who are too lazy to join a raid. Grinding tomes is an easy free pass compared to the real raid "job". If you were homeless, you still have to walk over to the food place that gives you food. Same can be said about AK.

Merriam Webster 2nd definition of Welfare
    2
a : aid in the form of money or necessities for those in need
b : an agency or program through which such aid is distributed

Simply, FF14's welfare is for the people who are not capable of doing hard content; they need help and someone to hold their hand through hard content, and all they have to do is walk through an AK dungeon 8 times a week. I fail to see how you cannot grasp this simple point that grinding tomes is not real work. It is just a simple freebie handed to you to help catch up to the hardcore players in ff14.

I mean Work in Real Life is for the most part a Grind 9to5 , most do the same thing everyday for 8-16hrs a day 20-100hrs a week .

If we went by the logic that Grinding was bad , everyone would be jobless and no work would get done.

Grinding is not hard , its ment to be there so you can work towards something . If you have no real work to gain anything , than its no longer a point to play .
Eventually you will be ALL 50s and by God if they give you everything , you will have nothing to do but quit............

Ok genius given that they can already get the tomes by grinding what aid is given by allowing them to grind more per week? Think about it. Nothing. Will they get something faster? Yes. Did it aid them in any way in getting the item? No. Thank you for posting a definition completely invalidating your point. Can they do raid runs for said gear? Sure. The point is that they don't have to whether they cap it or not. Give it up. You have proven you don't have any idea what the actual term means, hell you even posted the definition and went on a rant to prove you had no idea.

Hes not asking to be given items for just sitting in his inn room, he wants to work overtime at mcdonalds basically to earn them faster, rather than go to an office job which would be harder work but should net more. Again, its all still work, nothing is being gained for free here. Casuals arent killing this game, the hardcores are. Im casual, just hit 50, plenty of content left for me, people like me dont complain about issues like this, because it takes us much longer than 2 weeks anyway.
