So, I got my Relic+1. I have full Darklight on all slots. What's my next step gear-wise?
I'd really appreciate if someone can give me some advice. I know you guys are discussing about this (kind of) right now... but I still have no idea what should I do next gear-wise.
I would also like to do some comparison for myself, but I've to admit, I don't even know which stat is the more important for a MNK. u-u
next step is unequping that darklight subligar and replacing it w/ a militia subligar w/ materia or AF2 pants lol also get rid of eye patch asap its junk again af2 head or militia w/ materia. High crit value does wonders for mnk get it near 500 and u will be critting all day long. also apply yer buffs up and sneak Impulse drive into your rotation it does great dps 340-750dmg a go.
just sounds like some bad tanks mnk has very low enimty generation regardless of how stellar there dps is.Any geared monks finding their enmity/threat skyrocketing? I've been slowly getting gear (relic +1, more darklight pieces, etc) and I don't know if it is just the tank in my FC, but even when I waited a bit on the pull, I'd still eventually build up enough enmity to pull off of him.
Would be neat if they also made fists of wind lower enmity or something like that
I was in the same boat. This i feel is optimal for boss fights. For trash mobs, remove all DoT's so Demolish, Fracture and Touch of death. If you really want to add 1 DoT then make it demolish as it completes the GL rotation.
Just wondering, instead of fist weapons like brass knuckles, are there any weapons that are like gauntlets? Doesn't matter the level or anything, I just want some cool gauntlets for the looks.
Ok so I finally got my 1st piece of Relic today woot! What is SkSp Cap for MNK? Sitting at 496 lost a lot of ACC which I think I can make up in some melds.
There is no cap, anywhere.
where you gaining more skill speed, you're gonna lose DPS from crit. and det.
What i don't understand is why there is ton of accuracy on Darklight and AFv2, but none (or poorly) on Allagan set ?! it's a End Game designed set, i hope there will be some hidden accuracy effect once the full set is equipped >.>
The Best in slot Damage set, will show a mix between Dragoon/Monk Allagan/Monk AFv2 pieces... but i think all the allagan set for monk (*** of striking) was designed to fit perfectly the end game content in term of 100% acc and damage.
I've saw a BRD chart that show you'll have to get 472~480 Acc to the 100% cap. i'm currently sitting on 484 Acc as mnk, and i fear to lose to much if i go with BiS stuff.
What the current theorycraft show, is the power gain..., but accuracy isn't taken into consideration yet.

Unless you care about cosmetic sets, there is really no reason why Allagan needs to hit the accuracy cap. Just swap in a few pieces of AF2. It's actually easier that way anyway. It would take ages and a ton of luck to get full Allagan. If I remember correctly you have a couple options. You can get the relic weapon, AF2 pants, and a couple pieces of jewelry with accuracy or you can get the relic weapon (or AF2 Pants), AF2 Chest, AF2 Belt, AF2 Helm, and a couple pieces of jewelry with accuracy. Basically the accuracy gained through the relic weapon/af2 pants accounts for the difference in getting 3 other pieces with accuracy.
In my opinion the easiest way to go is R+1 Weapon, AF2 Helm, AF2 Chest, Allagan Gloves, AF2 Belt, Allagan Pants, Either boots. This gives a total of 438 accuracy before jewelry, from which you can easily hit the cap. This is so easy because common belief is Allagan chest is a T5 only drop (same with weapon, obviously).
I think the best set will be Allagan Wep, Helm, Chest, Gloves, Belt, Boots. AF2 Pants. Allagan DRG Neck, AF2 Earrings, AF2 Bracelet, Allagan MNK and DRG rings. This gives us a total of 469 accuracy, enough to cap off with food, 488 str, 490 crit, 301 det, and 373 skill speed. Who knows if my math is correct. I much prefer Det and Crit to skill speed, because skill speed natural DR through TP sustainability.

I already own relic+1, Allagan pants, Allagan earring, AFv2 body (Allagan body is floor 5, that's why i started with AFv2 body...), Allagan Belt.
i'm gonna work mostly on AFv2 accessories and AFv2 heads, as in my company, i must share drop with drg (2) and others mnk (1) (for accessories based on STR), we can manage to avoid having the 2 mnk in need, to get others mnk allagan stuff.
I dont really want to lose the Crit.+34 bonus from pants, i think i should go with AFv2 Heads instead (Acc.+16 vs 0 for allagan), hero's Necklace gives also a good Acc.+11, Allagan ring of maiming/striking, gives a good amount of Acc. + Det.
Actually, Allagan Weapon isn't an option, body too. So for thoses parts, i dont really care.
