Just wanna throw this out there for all the people here who like to throw out 'see ya' or 'don't let the door hit you on the way out and other like comments... I came from DC Universe online, I played that game from beta to the day this game launched. Early on the game had many issues, legitimate ones, like repetitive boring recycled content. People there were told to just leave. They were bullied and looked down upon by their peers. Well, they did leave. The game became a ghost town 2 or 3 months in. Forcing the game to go f2p and develop a Mega server to link the few hundred or so people left, together. My point being, unless you want this game to suffer a similar fate, can we please just not comment if we don't have anything beneficial to say?

Think about it yoshi and team pulled this game from the fire in, what was it. two years? Thats kinda unheard of in the mmo industry especially with most of them taking what, 4 years these days? Give it a bit more time, something tells me hes got plans. Give it a bit longer.
    This.

    I say give it time.
The game is still very much new.
They could review and change things at anytime.
The next patch is already addressing gathering xp issues and making tomes drop from more places.

And the general progression of mmo's is that when they add new content they make old content easier, so that new players have an easier time catching up.

That, now that, is exactly my thoughts.
I certainly don't mind grinding 4 or even 5 months for full sets. But please add some other content to farm the tomes because otherwise this is not just ridiculous but shocking.
Games and mmos have come a long way, but this? this is a step backwards. We are meant to be in 2013.
Feels like 2001 to me the way this game has been set up. Also it's not like SE are new to mmos at all nor is FFXIV.
They crashed and burned on the first attempt and i think many thought they would have change it up and learned from that.
It's as if this is the first mmo SE has come up with...
    Just my opinion..

I get that they dont want players to burn through content to fast but asking players to run AK for 4 months is insanity.
What is wrong with these people? Whoever told you that you need to get your best gear from myth tomestones? Binding Coil of Bahamut is for that, myth points only help you fill in the gaps. If there was no cap and anyone could grind their ilvl90 in ak, then doing Binding Coil of Bahamut would be pretty pointless.

Well, considering they're putting in more dungeons in 2.1 patch, and tomorrow they are increasing the amount of myth you can obtain/cap out on, saying 'but it takes FOUR MONTHS of grinding AK...' isn't all that accurate. How old is this game again?

For some maybe it's a surprise but for me personally, i played FFXI for a long long time so it is expected. But in this day and age it would be nice to have a variety to grind to not just the same CM and AK, that's all.

I mean in general, not online

though I do agree that it gets kind of boring. I didn't do it in lotro when people were basically farming the moria dungeons on endless repeat for tokens, I'm not going to do it in this game, either. granted that will take me a little longer to get everything I need, but I think SE realised that doing 2 dungeons over and over again isn't much fun in the long run, either. so I'm still hopeful
