oh snap, the fanboy police was fast with this one.
also it IS lacking variety, don't give me that "don't want to grind play fps" garbage. the stuff that's coming with 2.1 should've been there at launch

Man, Wrath of the lich king stuff should of been there at launch...goodness why didn't steam add big picture mode at launch... while we are at it, why didn't Apple release Siri and IOS7 when they first released the Iphone series.
What the playerbase wants and what developers can do in a certain amount of time contradicts everything. In a business like the game industry everything has time limits on how long they have to get a product out to the masses. while developers wants to add what everyone wants, they simply can't. While it may not take too long to come up with a concept for an addition to a game, don't forget how long it takes to model everything as well as code it into it.

What a poor attempt at being sarcastic. I'm not going to even bother explaining why your points make no sense. instead i'll give you the numbers:
An original game design with an endgame currency that can be gained from one single source only at a rate of 12 ish% of the weekly cap per hour (factory the DF queues), while said weekly cap is about 5% of the total currency needed to complete the gear set is suicidal game design.

I think you missed the part where CT should have been implemented before CoB.Man, Wrath of the lich king stuff should of been there at launch...goodness why didn't steam add big picture mode at launch... while we are at it, why didn't Apple release Siri and IOS7 when they first released the Iphone series.

I completely agree, as most people would like to have gear faster than it actually is, like myself, the idea behind funding and constrction of amazing content takes time. The main factor in why I will continue to play this game until the next FF online :PMan, Wrath of the lich king stuff should of been there at launch...goodness why didn't steam add big picture mode at launch... while we are at it, why didn't Apple release Siri and IOS7 when they first released the Iphone series.

I heal to prevent the death of many that you would cause healing.

That, now that, is exactly my thoughts.
I certainly don't mind grinding 4 or even 5 months for full sets. But please add some other content to farm the tomes because otherwise this is not just ridiculous but shocking.
Games and mmos have come a long way, but this? this is a step backwards. We are meant to be in 2013.
Feels like 2001 to me the way this game has been set up. Also it's not like SE are new to mmos at all nor is FFXIV.
They crashed and burned on the first attempt and i think many thought they would have change it up and learned from that.
It's as if this is the first mmo SE has come up with...
Just my opinion..

No, not at all!
There is so much to do in this game.
However, you probably just grinded FATES and storyline in your haste to get to end game.
You didn't take the time to enjoy the journey as you eagerly consumed your way to 50.
