WAR in BC. Do we need it?

The state of PLD > WAR is not going to hold true for every fight from now till the end of the game

Until they buff WAR, yes, it will. On any content where incoming damage is severe, PLD is better. Now, in 2.1, in 2.2, etc. The only way to change that is to fix the core issue. PLD scales off incoming damage, WAR scales off their own damage. That's broken, and PLD will always be superior on raid content as a result.
