    Let's think of level 51-60 PLD/GLA abilites!

    While a level increase is surely a long ways away, it's bound to happen. Let's think of think of some new abilities for PLD/GLA.

    Level 52: (Trait) Enhanced Provoke: Provoke now forces the enemy to attack you for short while. Enemies that fail to attack you are bound for 2 seconds.

    Level 55: (PLD Ability) Absorption: Your shield is infused with holy magic, absorbing all but 1 damage. Upon use, the ability to block is lost for 10 seconds. 60 second cooldown, instant cast.

    Level 57: (GLD Ability) Fortress: 50% of damage blocked can be used to restore HP. Only triggers upon a successful block. Generates enmity. Shared with global cooldown.

    Level 59: (Trait) Enhanced Vitality IV: Increase Vitality by 8.

    Level 60: (PLD ability) Redemption: Your sword is infused with the souls of righteous who have fallen in battle. You are healed equally for the amount damage dealt. Lasts for 15 seconds, cooldown is 2 minutes.

    Dual Shielding: 20s CD where PLD takes out his shield in favor for another shield. Offensive skills disabled except for shield swipe, shield bash and shield lob. Block chance and block percentage is doubled. Shield Swipe gets taken off the GCD but has a 1 second independent cooldown.

    While more abilities are welcome, I believe Paladins are in dire need for more Weaponskill options, specifically a third WS branching from Riot Blade, which seems to be the utility WS path, same as the Heavy Swing -> Main -> Storm's Eye/Path is for Warriors.

    For example:
    Level 51: Resolve of Bygerot (One of the twelve, same as Halone)
    Weaponskill: Delivers an attack with a potency of 100 (Branched from Riot Blade)
    Combo Bonus: 250 Potency, Increases block rate by 15% for 8 seconds.

    (︶ω︶) I am not a Paladin, so forgive me if there is already an ability like this:

    Holy Retribution/Holy Spikes
    A passive or activated ability where the enemy takes X amount of damage whenever you block or parry an attack. Increases enmity.

    A passive version would probably deal less damage.
    An activated version would do more damage.

    I love Enhanced Provoke - I use provoke pretty often but it is unreliable at best.

    I would love to see some unique white magic that furthers the role of "Savior" or "White Knight". I don't think we need any more mitigation abilities. I do like the Riot Blade chain exploration though.

    Level 55 - Avenger: Off GCD ability, <1 second CASTING time, MP Cost: 1000. Can only be used if an ally has fallen in battle. Potency 700 heal to your entire party, excluding you. Simultaneously, it does a 120 potency AE attack (let's say...15 yalms?) that pacifies each target for 4 seconds. It also pacifies you for 5 seconds. Refresh of 5 minutes. I would love to see like a white-wash animation that covers the floor is a soft white fog or ooze, and maybe it gives you angel's wings for a couple seconds and you float for 2 seconds or something? : D

    Level 60 - Halone's Renewal: Potency 100 Attack, Combo with Riot Blade: Potency 150 Attack, gives you a 10s buff that restores an extra 20 TP per tick or TP regeneration. This would create very little enmity with only 150 potency with no modifier, so it would make us choose between regenerating TP if we are tank/stunning or in a long long fight, and creating the extra enmity/damage from Halone combo. This would make our FB>RB>HR chain our "utility" or "recovery" chain.

    Spell Oath, Level 60: Reduces the damage from magic attacks by 30%, decrease damage output by 20%, increases enmity generated, cannot be used with Shield Oath or Sword Oath.

    I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THIS!

    Level 55: Shining Zone: Shoots a beam of light in a line in front of you emitting from your shield.
    Combo From: Shield Swipe ;; Combo Potency: 250, enemies hit with this are inflicted with blind for 10 seconds and 15% mp restored.

    Level 60: Iron Beast: Strike down with a powerful force emitting the aura of a beast from your blade.
    Attack Potency: 150. :: Enemies struck with this technique suffer Physical Vulnerability for 10 seconds.

    I like this ability though I am not sure it helps not being used under 50% because since sometimes we are in the middle of a mob (high level) it will help when I am under 50% and maybe the healer is a bit backed up from whatever reason and it will help me from being KOd if possible with enough restored health.

    spell oath is way too OP, but I like a lot of what has been said in the thread.

    I think more WS's are definitely needed

    I think PLD and the game overall need more attacks like IRON BEAST. coordinate a Melee DPS Limit Break with that, and battles suddenly have another layer to the play. Something I would like to see in the future
