My definition of "active member" is someone that currently participates in the game and participates in FC, either chat or events. Not "logged in"... >.>

There need to be limits on the size of an FC. There's only so much data servers can reasonably handle. Most whiners who always demand more inventory or more guild members allowed don't ever consider this. 512 is an extremely gracious amount and no FC ever has that many active members participating. Not to mention most of the time it's 50%+ Alts.

Hilariously wrong. There's no possibility of a data issue at all. The game is already storing all the data from our 800+ members, they're just split into 2 FCs instead of one. There is no world where combining those would result in MORE data, not LESS data, since the data about the other FC would be deleted. (unless you're really worried about the one bit more it would take to store 1024 instead of 512 as the max limit)

If we were asking for a raise in the max number of people allowed into Excalibur itself, that would create more data, but just moving people from one FC to another would not.

I really can't understand why there would be any technological limitations preventing the more elastic expansion of FC member limits.

If I come back here on Sunday still having the same problem with having literal hundreds of people still unable to fit in our FC despite having kicked over 6 times your total FC population for being "inactive" do I have a legitimate concern then or is your contribution to the thread to question the validity of my FC's existence?

How are we supposed to determine who this "20-30%" is comprised of?

What about people who only log in once or twice a week? Only on the weekends?

But this is a moot point because even if we purged 50% of our primary FC the overflow FC is still larger than that. There are over 300 people in the overflow FC.

This is correct. Even at launch, we were not recruiting, and I said as much in a tongue-in-cheek way. We already had enough members from our community site.

I haven't logged in since yesterday night because I had to work, feel free to purge me from the FC as this level of inactivity is clearly problematic and gets in the way of maintaining a functioning FC.

I've read it quite enough. To be honest I stopped when they was going back and forth with other people. I see no reason to expand the FC limit. If they are doing what they say they are doing then the limit should be manageable.
