    Oh god, not this again...

    Opportunity Cost, go google it and learn what it means. Manually gathering the item yourself does not change the market value of said item.

    Why would one gather 450k gil's worth of materials and then produce a product to sell at below that cost? You'd make more profit simply by selling the base material by themselves.

    It is my sincerest hope that most of you do not ever attempt to operate a business, or your own retirement account for that matter.
