I guarantee I have more gil than you. So LOL at your "you're doing it all wrong" garbage.Fact: Repeatable leves can generate 1500 gil for HQ turn-ins x 3 in Coerthas. 4500 per total turn in if you are geared correctly and can HQ. At 100 leves x 4500 gil you will have made 450,000 gil. Of course that's if you have banked all the leves. If not, 6 daily leves x 4500 gil = 27,000 gil. Or you can wait the 17 days for a full 100 leves.
Pure profit assuming you also gather. You can use the market to buy your mats at the cost of your own profit.
Fact: People do not want to spend the time or effort to level gathering or crafting.
Fact: That's their problem.
Speculation: Yoshi-P saying there is not enough money being generated.
Fact: You can 'farm' goods as a DoW or DoM to put up on the market, such as gathering and crafting materia, drops for crafting, tomes for potash, coke etc.
Fact: By asking for more gil generation, you are in turn asking for more inflation.
Fact: The gil sinks is what gives gil a base value. Removing sinks, or even reducing them, reduces the value of gil.
Is that enough fact for you? Or would you like more? In any economy, there is always someone who works harder and profits more. Since each player is their own 'business' only the ones who are willing to work harder profit.
TLDR: you're doing it all wrong.
Ignoramus is ignorant.
your real TLDR should read: TLDR: I like economies where gil is highly valued, and don't understand macroeconomics.

The crafting system in this game is way more complex, fleshed out and more fun than the combat system. My signature proves that some people do play this game for the crafting more than the combat. And you're more than welcome to go slay all of the dragons you want. Just don't expect to get rich doing it. This is an MMORPG. It's a digital alternate universe. It's not Diablo.
In real life people do crafting as a way to have fun and relax. I don't know many people who go to war or do guard duty for fun. That's a literal sweat shop.

Lol @ previous threads containing gil spent sellswords that lacked DoL/DoHs. After the main scenario and side quests your "mighty warrior" is pretty gil-less after a couple weeks or so.The crafting system in this game is way more complex, fleshed out and more fun than the combat system. I actively study economics and have gone through many dozens of economics books by a large number of major economic authors. There's nothing technically inaccurate about what this man said. All you did was engage in a bunch of ad hominems while failing to provide any real critique or alternative analysis.

That guy is claiming servers are losing Gil while boasting that he has lots of it himself.I actively study economics and have gone through many dozens of economics books by a large number of major economic authors. He's also calling everyone else ignorant.
It's not worth it, trust me...

And you still can. I gave you alternatives for making money to provide you with enough income to power through your weekly repair bill.
Then where is this gil problem you keep crying about?
Using GC to repair merely bypasses gil reduction - it does nothing for gil generation, which is what this thread is about. We understand that the cost for dark matter when using Grand Company seals is rather high at the moment, and we will be taking a look at the amount of Grand Company seals everyone possess and plan on making it so you can exchange them for dark matter at an appropriate price. This adjustment will be made in patch 2.1.
you forgot some important FACTsFact: People do not want to spend the time or effort to level gathering or crafting.
Fact: That's their problem.

Fact: The gil sinks is what gives gil a base value. Removing sinks, or even reducing them, reduces the value of gil.
Fact: Using the Market Board DO NOT PUT GIL in to the Game, it REMOVES IT
Fact: leveling your Crafter class or gather maths on DoW or DoM do not put gil in the the Game it only transfer between players if you do not sell to NCP
Fact: using the Market Board make Gil disappear and transfer between players not Generate
Fact: Levels, FATEs. Dungeons, Quests or selling stuff to NCP is the ONLY way to Generate Gil.
Fact: so if you can't make more then you use let say a endgame person use 10k Gil in repairs each 5th run he needs to make 10k gil in 5 runs or find a way to make 10k Gil for WITHOUT losing more in repairs.
Fact: if you cant make more Gil then you use, you got Gil problem.
yes you can use gear that you can soulbind or craft your own gear and save the trouble that way but the issue is that this should not be the case in my option.

you forgot some important FACTs
Fact: Using the Market Board DO NOT PUT GIL in to the Game, it REMOVES IT - This is to increase your personal wealth to afford your own gear repairs, purchases etc. Take care of your own repairs and gear. That's what people want right?
Fact: leveling your Crafter class or gather maths on DoW or DoM do not put gil in the the Game it only transfer between players if you do not sell to NCP - Incorrect, read again the portion regarding the use of your leves, which is used for leveling and gil generation.
Fact: using the Market Board make Gil disappear and transfer between players not GenerateSame as your first bullet point.
Fact: Levels, FATEs. Dungeons, Quests or selling stuff to NCP is the ONLY way to Generate Gil.DoW/M's problem is personal wealth to afford gear/repairs. DoH/L have no problems with gil generation or personal wealth. Use an alternative to increase your personal wealth. That's what should matter to you.
Fact: so if you can't make more then you use let say a endgame person use 10k Gil in repairs each 5th run he needs to make 10k gil in 5 runs or find a way to make 10k Gil for WITHOUT losing more in repairs.Lucky for you, gear repairs have been brought down. It should not cost 10k per 5 runs. You can't throw random numbers out because the max cost of repair is your baseline. No one is going to do the work for you anyway. Your runs, your work.
Fact: if you cant make more Gil then you use, you got Gil problem.Yep, a personal one.
yes you can use gear that you can soulbind or craft your own gear and save the trouble that way but the issue is that this should not be the case in my option. So you want welfare?
enjoy

I would also like to add that on Goblin, the going rate for tome crafting mats is about 30k. Potash is 125 tomes of philosphy, going through CM grants 100 per run(correct me if I am wrong). After 5 runs and a '10k' repair bill, you can buy 4 potash with 500 tomes . That is 120k worth of mats. 110k profit. That's 50 runs worth of repairs. Plus another 10k for teleporting everywhere.
