Stats, Caps and Gear optimization for WAR.

see that's what i thought, as every other HQ'd ilvl70 thing has the exact same primary stats as it's darklight counterpart, and they can't be increased at all through materia

tank chest has 36 vit whether you're looking at darklight or hq heavy darksteel, and that can't be increased by materia - 36 is the cap

so I'm curious why any tank would want a 10 vit ring when they could use the hero's/allagan ring and have 15 vit

maybe other people gear differently, but I focus on eHP as a tank

isn't a 15 vit ring better than a 10 vit ring? (even if the 10 vit thing has crit/det/skillspeed)

The 10 vit ring also has 9 STR and 9 DEX allowing you to hit your walls for mitigation. It is essentially, 5 Vit and 4 Parry ( for the i90 rings ), vs 9 str 9 dex 12 crit and a free materia slot for whatever.

The 10 vit ring is much more effective HP, despite being 5 HP lower ( roughly 95 health in defiance ), and provides some damage bonus as well.
