Is 1-20 Too fast?

There's a big learning curve, and the game is young so all the quick paths are not laid out for you in any guides. Physical level helps tremendously. I'm sure it took me a week to solo to R20 with your profile.

Go start a new character. It takes on solo behest to get to r10. The first camp, a r1 with a physical level of 1 can solo all the leves on 5 stars. I tried it lol. The second camp, some classes can solo them 3 stars, which still nets you a shitload of sp (like 800 a kill) and on top of that, behests every 30 min. It's just too much right now.

I'm with Darkstar Poet. It's rediculous that they just made sp so easy for the lower ranks and those people that quit, I kind of don't blame them. you know how many grind parties there were back then? Omg I killed so many crabs back then

ohhhhh please don't remind me of the crab parties on the old sp system......friggin beat it to death round r20 for what felt like 5 minutes and turn around and get 60sp.

my old ls leader left because he grind partied everyday and fought for weeks to get to r30. most of his ls would never party with him because unless you were a dom the sp sucked. they changed the sp gain while he was gone on a business trip and he came back and was below the 5 level range for everyone else. he was mad it took him forever to get a few levels above others that would not grind and then in just a few days his work was worthless.

I like to go out and explore, especially when mp wasn't unlimited. You would go far from camp, knowing not to use up all your mp and people were actually exploring. Now you only see people in Ul'dah and those other two camps /telling for the endless sp leves. IDK just personal opinion I guess

oh trust me i know how you feel as i like the exploration also, but you can only explore so much. at this point i have had high classes a while and the world is actually pretty small with hidden exploration points. i did meet alot of great people in those grind parties which was actually where i joined my first ls through.

i do prefer the mp the way it is now for exploration now though for the fact you can fight fight fight then take a break and refil. sure it slows the party down, but it is better than dying and returning to a node just to refil then trying to catch back up with your party. i'm sure there's tons of people that haven't explored enough to know there was areas that you could access a while back that are now blocked and you cannot get into.

to me the major difference between now and then though is the fact is that back then there were tons of people in game always and you could always find a party to do things. now if you can get a 5 person party willing to go do anything besides leves you are doing really well. i mean it's soo bad on karnak it's a struggle to even get enough players to be able to do a nm run. once the nm's got nerfed alot that only came on for that challenge have now just disappeared from the game.
