    The curve in this game is just ridiculous. Easy way to fix it without penalising anyone is to have it take the same SP to get 1-50 as it does now but spread it out better. That way ranks in the 40s will requires less SP but ranks under 20 will require more.

    However the game needs a better party system and more low rank content before it should be changed.

    The game does that intentionally for good reasons.
    If the average FFXI player dabbled in 3 jobs, the average FFXIV player dabbles in 6. And that's how the game's meant to be, and it's working. This game has better job perfusion than XI. This gives devs more freedom to give specific job abilities time to shine in events and gameplay without having to worry about people being locked into 1 or 2 jobs with 1 subjob. Tanaka tried to make FFXI diverse where having 3 and 4 subjobs had meaning, but the population just couldn't follow him on that goal because it took too long.

    Let's say that new raid takes some stunning. There's no official stunner that you can whore out there and get to beat the boss difficulty for you. So you need to stun. Lots of it.

    So get legsweep. Get barbaric yawp. There are stuns littered throughout the sub-30s across all jobs. Go get em.

    It won't take long under this system. It would take forever if you increased the SP to level 30.

    R1-30 is supposed to be fundamentals of warfare-get. Fast. Easy. And worth it.

    Every battler should take every battle class to 30. That should be how the population looks at how easy 1-30 is, not petitioning to make it more difficult so they can in effect gimp people more in comparison to them.

    Only people I can think who would like 1-30 to get tougher are the people who already have 30 on the jobs, or know they would have the insistance to do it. Making it harder would weed others out, and in the process make that person have more status in comparison.

    Game doesn't work that way.

    Getting to 30, where the game starts, is supposed to be ridiculously easy and fast. Says it right there in the interviews. In this game, you're not supposed to have an excuse for not having a key ability or trait that's R30 and below.

    It's the solution to FFXI's "we don't have a tank I guess we're done" "can't find a rdm, cancelling the party" "no healer on, so no point in trying to make a party."

    Everyone has Cure II and siphon MP. No excuses. Don't need a healer. Anyone can tank.

    At R40 and above is when the jobs will start to diversify and start to be defined as healer, tank, dd. But they're still going to need access to almost every other jobs' R30 and under abilities for utility purposes and to fill in gaps their team doesn't have.

    So keep it fast.
