My PC keeps turning off...please help

yeah new egg is awesome. found a decent 4 rail 850W for $99. which i still dont have right now, but maybe in a few weeks. lets hope this fixes problem. gonna do a restart and put it on ups. thank you for all your help. i will test it out and get back on here to update you.

Lawl.. that psu is probably overkill, but whatever works right? A dual rail 750w PSU should handle all your mid performance gaming rig needs. Remember to make sure the PSU you buy has any connections required by your vid card. Most mid range cards require 1 - 2 6pin or 8pin connectors. Most psu's have them but it is possible to accidentally buy one without them.

A UPS will not fix a faulty PSU. It will only provide that little extra bit if there are very small power drops, provided the UPS is charged. A UPS will not power a computer without a working PSU.

You never said. What are you doing at the time it shuts down?

its completely different everytime. this time i was talking in FC chat, just standing in uldah

i got some completely new errors and 2 new warnings. but the warnings were after the shutdown and the errors before i logged into the game

But it only happens in game, and your computer fires no event saying the CPU is overheating? I am almost positive your PSU is just simply not supplying enough power. A UPS will not make up for this. The UPS will only fix the problem if its faulty electrical wiring, power strip, or surge protector. It wont provide extra power for the CPU to use.

To test that your GPU is sucking up too much power. Underclock it by like 50% just to see if your computer shuts down afterwards. If it does not. You can start raising it by small increments to find how much you can use before it powers off.
