yes...........
yes...........
Sad thing is that when I advertised a Titan group for people with no experience and moderate gear (which after about 8 attempts got him down to about 10% which is all we had time for) I received a TON of tells from people telling me there should be more people doing what I was doing and thanking me for helping instead of charging people gil to complete a raid boss.
Well, why aren't there?
All it takes is one person to make a difference and believe me that when my FC has Titan on farm we will be out in Revenant's Toll offering free Titan runs just to spite those trying to exploit people for gil or making outrageous claims to even join groups.
Well, I suppose it'll get better once more of us more chilled-out players (who aren't rushing through all the content) are up there with the rest.
Also, with a little bit of luck, these terrible endgamers will ragequit once they get fed up with their grinds, complain loudly about what a terrible game it is, and stay away until the next update.
A few points:
= IF you enjoy the game why are you farming the easiest and fastest dungeon over and over?
~Efficency. Simple as this. A well groomed CM can take less than 20 minutes for 100 tomes for Darklight gear.
= IF you play MMO's because you want to play ONLINE with Other players why are you so anti-social?
~Playing with Bads makes more advanced players disillusioned with new players. Had a tank 2 days ago in CM via DF that couldn't hold hate off me during ANY add waves, luckily this one is good enough to be a WHM off-tank to save the raid. The tank going afk was more advantageous for the group than him actually playing.
=If you don't like pugs, don't want to run dungeons with new players WHY do you use the duty finder?
~Because often times there aren't the people in FC/LS to put together groups. This one prefers to PUG from its own server but there are times when it must DF because it does play at off-hours.
And for SE, why the hell did you make it so players can skip cut scenes and move ahead in the dungeon without the person watching the cut scene know? How did you manage to overlook this?
~Simple watch Cutscenes in the Inn or put together a server PUG that wants to watch cutscenes. Don't waste everyone else's time.
I want to like this game. From what I heard the older Final fantasy community was a good one, this community at end game is anything but. It's elitist with apparently no desire to try the more challenging aspects of the game, with no desire to communicate with other players and a general Dbagness attitude towards anyone not decked out like them.
~This one does feel for you, and it genuinely attempts to be patient with new players, but seeing the same mistakes over and over can become quite disconcerting.

It won't be long until casuals start reaching 50. The more that hit Itt, the better I think things will be.
Not to mention elitist that live to play a video game, will have to pay soon =p
All of the should kids will learn SE doesn't give in to whining like blizzard will also leave soon.
It'll get better, hang in there.
What needs to be done is remove duty finder for one, as seeing this is cross server player's dont have to worry about being nice, than of course kill the tomes and everything is done by a random drop. This new age MMO crap needs to go or new measures need to be put in place to penalize those that do this kind of crap.
You and your FC are what this community needs more of. Kudos and a big thanks to you and yours.Sad thing is that when I advertised a Titan group for people with no experience and moderate gear (which after about 8 attempts got him down to about 10% which is all we had time for) I received a TON of tells from people telling me there should be more people doing what I was doing and thanking me for helping instead of charging people gil to complete a raid boss.

I hate this community (not every single person), not only the duty finder ppl but in my server too. It's making me not feel bad anymore that I can't sub anymore :/ Gonna play ff7 again, better than getting sad or annoyed at people being mean all the time.

Perhaps things will improve within the next few days as the free-trial MMO-hoppers are weeded out.
I ran Castrum Meridianum for the first time with 3 other FC members who never ran it before. We used duty finder to get 4 more players.
Worst experience I had ever had because of the speed runners. We had about 5 players just leave the dungeon once we let them know we were new, even though I said I read up on the bosses. There was a lot of fighting between a few of our members and the tank. At least the second speed runner tank calmed down after awhile when we he started go give basic instructions and we progressed smoothly. We finished the dungeon on friendly terms, all it took was a little communication.
Seriously, why hasn't SE fixed this yet? They shouldn't be encouraging speed running in a story mode dungeon by giving out 100 tomestones. Quick fix would be to drop to drop the tomestone reward in half and increase the tomestone reward in Wanderer's palace. So the speed runners grind a non story driven dungeon.
