I'll start off by saying: I haven't read the whole thread, pretty much just the first page.

It sucks you had a cruddy experience, but try to understand though people who want to do speed runs.. well, want to do speed runs. I do agree though that they shouldn't be queuing up random people from the DF to do a speed run. (unless of course they've already tried to create a full party on their server and just had no luck getting that final 1 or 2 Jobs).

A few things to keep in mind though:

CM - Speed runs are done very often, but again, DF should really not be used to do speed runs. In general a speed run should be set up by the players belonging to a specific server. If you're going to use the DF, then you cannot blame the a player who has never done the dungeon for not wanting to do a speed run. The cutscenes are there to be enjoyed and should be enjoyed at least once minimum, which would typically be the first time a player does a dungeon with cutscenes.
In CM your gear doesn't matter unless of course you are specifically seeking out to do a Speed Run, in which case, gear always matters.

Praetorium - More people need to be running this, imo (as a speed run). If you are using the DF to fill in slots, then you cannot penalize new players to the instance, they are (more than likely) doing it to complete the story, let them enjoy and experience it.
This dungeon can easily be beaten by a full completely new set of level 50s. Meaning, just AF1 and basic non-primal/relic weapons. It may prove a medium difficulty to such a group. For any other well geared group, this dungeon is really, really easy.

AK - You should not be doing this dungeon unless you have a few pieces of Dark Light (at least 3-4 accessories if not actual armor) and (as a DPS class) at least an Ifrit weapon. Demon Wall (the second boss) is a DPS check, and requires the DPS to be decently geared in order to be able to do enough damage to defeat. A (1) DPS can be carried if the other members are well geared in DL and have Ifrit weapons (actually was in a group this morning the 2 geard FC members and we had to DF the final DPS job, ended up being a Drg with 3 pieces of DL with a GC lance. We managed to beat everything well enough but it could have been faster/easier if the Drg was well geared).

Wanderer's Palace - Well.. I can't comment on this yet, as I have yet to actually run it. Though I hear it's kind of difficult, and requires a bit more coordination/cooperation than the other current level 50 dungeons. I would imagine the better geared you are the more likely it is you'll have a better experience.

TL;DR: Don't complain to people you gather into your group for CM or Praetorium because they are essential to the story and newer level 50s will be using the DF to queue up for them. Do speed runs with your own server's players or else don't complain about what you get with the DF and if those people don't follow "your" plan. They didn't queue up to do the dungeon your way, if you are wanting a speed run, don't force it on them.

    xD
When they shout for "Gear and experience" that just means, you need to be at least full DL with a Garuda weapon (for dps jobs) and experienced enough to know how the fight works. You can know how a fight works and not yet have had a successful run you know.

Currently I'm on Garuda. I know the fight, I've got the gear, but have yet to be with a group that's beaten her. I would fit into that geared/experienced catagory for Garuda. Titan is an even more difficult fight.

People will still find fault with your gear, your DPS, your demeanor, your desire to watch cutscenes, or just the color of your hair. SE can't fix this.

Second: The "grow thicker skin" thing is silly. It's not that these things are making me angry in real life, or affecting my real life in any sort of way outside of the game...
Obviously, this is affecting you otherwise you wouldn't have bothered to start a thread about it. The only part of the game you can control is you and how you deal with thngs. You have no control of your party in the DF, only your own actions. My advice is to get a thicker skin. It will help you with this MMO and others: FFXIV is not alone with this affliction.

Well, in our defense, SE has given us PISS to do late game. There's only a couple options. Most MMO's come end game have hours upon hours of play to do. And no, i'm not going to level some weird class I don't want to play.

I will say the most important thing to remember when dealing with rude players is to not quit. Let the rude players get tired of everyone else and leave, and encourage the helpful players to stick around and that's how a community is formed.

Also, on a side note I can't wait for this game to gain some ground and to offer more end game armor options than Darklight, Darklight, or Darklight.

Ugh. I'm the type to not be in a hurry to level up usually, and after reading about all this I'm certainly even less in a hurry to reach the endgame. I can only hope that by the time I'm reaching there with the story, the most virulent, malicious sorts have already either gotten their gear or left. The larger-scale community can be a make-or-break thing for the long-term enjoyment of MMOs for some. I do hope things will get better eventually.

There's alot of shouting too in NA/EU Servers only that it's the RMT Spammers

I only read the first few pages - but want to share that my experiences. Maybe only the ones that had bad experiences are posting? I don't think it's all that bad.

Everything I've done the first time solo queueing in DF I watch CS and no one had a problem. Now that I've things on farm, it's not like I have a problem waiting for first timers in CM/Prat or explaining fights to new players in AK.

Yes, I've been in CM with someone complaining about CS. "Watch in inn" - they said. At least a couple people will speak up and say don't worry watch the cutscenes.

Yes I've been in hopeless AK groups. But overall I've found much more pleasant players than jerks. If I don't DF I shout. When I shout for members I ask for people to "Know fights or at least be willing to learn". Never had a problem with anyone answering my call be it experts or first timers.

And of course I can't re-emphasize enough what's already said in this thread and many places about finding a like-minded shell/FC.

No "pro" players are running Wanderer's Palace. What you experienced was a bunch of condescending wannabees. It's easy to act big and tough behind a computer screen. Don't sweat it.

I'm (hoping) it'll be "fixed" eventually. By that I mean more the more casual players who are just in it to have fun (Like myself) will start to work on more end game content as they reach it and eventually it'll even out.

If it stays bad then finding a friendly free company is probably the best solution.
