No need to get yippy, kid. Are you really suggesting SE is blameless in this? It's their design that's pitting progression against new players. As you do multiple jobs, you'll end up skipping these cutscenes hundreds of times. The gross majority of the time players spend in CM will not be because of the story, so please accept that you're in an almost unfathomable minority here.

I would completely skip CM if I had the option, but as it stands, I don't. I can run CM 3-4 times in the takes me to just get through the AK queue. Another 1-2 times if you include the actual AK run itself. We're talking 400-600 Tomes vs 80 from AK. Yeah, speed runs aren't going anywhere.

And if you lock people into cutscenes, what happens when someone gets pissed off at someone else (as they inevitably do), or DC's mid cutscene? You can't kick people for being dicks, so the CM comes to a complete stop because 1 guy doesn't skip dialogue (to be a jerk)? Or you have to wait 10min(I think?) to kick a DC'd player?

These knee-jerk reactions are hardly "solutions". The real solution is to separate out "Story" from "Progression", just like every major MMO since, oh I don't know, forever? It's SE's approach that's broken, not the players.
