OP your idea wouldn't work all the time and it could be used to grief players preventing them from progressing with the remainder of the group.

This has been what I have been saying, It's no ones fault except SE for implementing a poor design. Having to run the exact same dungeon 50+ times for BIS preraid gear is pretty sad.
Even Vanilla Wow had BRD, Scholo, both sides of Strat, and LBRS, and a 15 man raid - UBRS this was in 2004 guys. And then the 4 sides of DM came not to long after.
1. There should be an option to disable the damn cut scene I am tired of having to skip them on my 30th run through.
2. They should have never attached end game tokens to a "story dungeon"
3. SE made a poor decision to not only nerf AK speed runs but to make them worse by implementing more packs/ mobs by making CM the most efficient philo farming dungeon.
4. This whining will never stop, after everyone has run this dungeon more than 3 times they will no longer be willing to watch the cut scenes and the amount of fresh 50's wanting to watch them is only going to grow as they story goers are still leveling.
5. Force us to watch a cut scene on the 50th time through a dungeon, the player base will dwidle.

6 of us went into casta whatever it is the other night. 2 of us hadn't been in there so we waited while they watched the intro cut scene. One of the dps immediately started rambling on about skipping the cut scenes, gotta GO GO GO. So i replied "2 tanks, 1 healer, and 3 of the DPS in this group que'd together. Shut up or get the fck out". He shut up.
To everyone saying you should skip the cutscenes please make sure your post weither or not you skipped the cutscense your first time through.
This can be prevented. I had played games in which you skip the cs or was faster than another player and you get a Message: Waiting for others players cutscene.
I accidentally got Drawn in in toto-rak last night while our DPS was behind the wall in a cutscene. We ended up completing the fight without a death with just three of us, but I felt dumb.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
If seven people are waiting on one person who is watching the cutscene, why should they wait for them? Just like that 1 person yelling at seven people watching is selfish, seven people being forced to wait on you is also selfish. Needs should go to the majority.
When i run the last two dungeons, i always ask. I dont yell or force, just ask. If seven people are willing to skip and there's just one hanging back, we'll leave him. After all, they are the one's holding us back. They are free to watch the cutscenes later, but if they don't want to, and everyone else does, they shouldn't complain about being left behind.
I skipped cutscenes on my first time thru the dungeon and watched them in the inn after. I enjoyed both the dungeon and the scenes very much (Praetorium is my favorite dungeon so far).

Totally agree. SWTOR was interesting in this regard, it's a shame ARR didn't take a page from the group story dynamics of that.
If you use the duty finder expect to find newcomers there, as it's quite normal that these same people don't have yet a huge amount of in-game mates to run the dungeons or an appropriate FC for it either. If you're experienced and willing to farm them, on the other hand, it's more feasible that you know enough people to do your farm runs. Conclusion: if you want to speedrun the dungeons and you aren't willing to let others watch and enjoy their cutscenes, make your own groups and stop being assholes that ruin everyone else's enjoyment.
Of course, you could always admit that it's cool to use the DF and have less waiting time (because you have those new people queueing too) to do "your" speedruns...
I remember this one tank.... He went in without me (the white mage) twice during the boss in Catsrum permidium while saying, "I'm not going to wait a year for you to watch cut scenes". After the two wipes, he rage quits, I get out of the cut scene, another tank comes in and we beat it first try. Classic.
