Dargoth but Crysta is a retarded option why should i have to buy something just to sign up for a game. SE just needs to take my Visa number and bill me directly. Or i should be able to go down to Best Buy or over to Amazon and Buy a gamecard and apply it to my account. Why does SE need to make this method of payment so difficult to obtain. KISS method... Keep it simple stupid

I bought an "Ultimate Game Card" from my local 7/11 store (also sold at Best Buy, Game Stop, Wal-Mart, etc.). I was able to use that card to buy Crysta (which is still sitting in my account).

While certainly not as easy as just entering a Credit Card, it is much safer from Identity Theft and I appreciate that. The instructions for buying Crysta using this method left alot to be desired and I pretty much had to figure it out myself, but it did work. The process just needs to be streamlined and explained better.

Crysta is horrible. Just in general, horrible.

And the stupid thing is, there's really no billing system for XIV that doesn't use Crysta. You can use Click and Buy to buy Crysta, or Paypal to buy Crysta (except I can't because that option is not on my account) or you can just outright buy Crysta.

Even if this game EVER gets up to par, the billing system alone is enough to kill off any new interest. Charge people the EXACT AMOUNT they owe you, how freaking hard is that, seriously?

I think the billing system here is something that SE really needs to work out if they ever want this game to be successful (well, one of many things). I don't honestly have a problem with Crysta, myself, and I'm cool with using Paypal and all that, but most people probably aren't going to want to mess around with a convoluted billing system.

They need to simply directly accept credit cards and Paypal without these unnecessary third parties. Crysta can still be an option if it's meant for other games, as well.

I don't think billing would be on the horizon as the game is a mess, and from the other thread no one pay for this. If would make them look conceited if they work on it, before other game elements.

SE most likely have to pay fees to click n buy for using their product, so the visa fee has nothing to do with it, just like how they have to pay paypal as well.

SE did handle CC info, in XI, but it wasnt a very good system, its much easier to outsource to a company that is dedicated to just CC info.

Also the PSN incident has not much to do with it, the people who obtained the personal info did it to prove Sony suck, and they wont do anything with the information, they're on the side of the customer since Sony has no customer relationship. Also the CC was encrypted.

You can already use prepaid cards through paypal, so I dont know why you are suggesting a feature that already exists.
