You have 1 week on you to hit the cap. You can choose to rush it during the starting days of the week, or spread it out over the week. Like with leves: you can choose when to play. You do not have to grind 24/7 for 5 months, lol.

The weekly cap won't be there forever. I expect it be gone by patch 2.3. It's just there to stop those super hardcores from rushing everything, which is obviously not the best way to restrict progression. without the weekly cap there would be ppl running around in AF2 all over the place cause of early speedrun mechanics. We are also likely to get other stuff beside Amdapor Keep to gather tomestones effectively.
Assuming more content isn't added within that time.
When all else fails, Heck the Bed.

Safe to assume it won't, this is SE.
Sorry OP I just don't agree with you. The fact you can get raid level gear without even doing the actual raid itself is reward enough. It is there for people to get gear who either don't want to raid or are putting in the time to get drops and just are unlucky with the RNG. I actually love the fact that it takes a long time to get.
One of my biggest concerns for when the game launched was this very issue on whether tokens dropping for raid level gear would be too easy to obtain. This is a solid system they have in place and I am a big fan of it. Either put in the time to raid and you will eventually be rewarded either through drops or tokens (or both) or run dungeons a bunch to get the raid equivalent gear.
Probably go unheard again, but when content level increases, so can daily caps.
Exceppppppppppt you didn't need a relic weapon to do endgame in FF11. You need to be pretty pimped to start doing BCB. Don't give me Crystal Tower is coming in 2.1, BS response. If CT is supposed to be the stepping stone for BCB, why wasn't CT the release raid instead of BCB? You know so the new content being released is actually harder and worth doing for people who have already done the endgame content all ready...
Then they can tell us that they're going to raise the weekly caps as they release stuff to actually quiet some of our complaining.
たまねぎララフェル

Took me a year to make a relic in ff11 5 months ain't so bad lol, and yea you didn't need a relic but a lot of them changed a jobs performance by a large margin. Like for example (at 75) tanking Tiamat on drk/nin with a regular scythe is probably gonna get you stomped, where as using apocalypse will help you survive and keep enmity at cap, of course we all know now none of this is relevant anymore since relics are surpassed by delve weapons tht take one day to make now /facepalm

So , OP let me get this straight.
1. You can see no comprehension or aspirations for the game beyond gear attainment.
2. You want to take out that said mechanic because you want to enjoy running the same dungeons and raids for the "FUN" of it??
You are either an expert Troll or making a bad joke.
You want the AF+1 gear to be easily attainable but you also know that it is one of the few things that are keeping people playing in the long run?
Sure the wait might be 5 months give or take to attain a full set , but
Group runs take around 60 mins max - will take you 8 hours of grinding , give or take.
Using Df will take you longer but if you are raiding for end game gear i will assume that u are in the proper FC for it.
So Conclusion is <=20 days of grinding for full AF ( 1 day per week ) , seems reasonable for the best gear ingame.

Didn't bother reading through all the post but...
At some point patch 2.1 will land and there'll be something else to farm for stones.
It's a fairly new game so endgame options are few (but good imo).
Back in vanilla wow (yeah, everyone likes wow comparisions) I farmed Molten Core and Blackwing Lair for more than 5 months and I didn't get all the upgrades I wanted. I'm not saying that this system is perfect.
Also there's plenty of other things to do in this game than farm endgange currency.
