Yes I know blah blah blah there is crafted gear, I for one do not like crafting in this game, and there is no amount of gil incoming running anything end game wise to afford such gear let alone talk any of my FC members into doing the same to get ready.

yeah well i just found out that the good crafted gear takes around 1k tomes each to create, and thats not even trying to get HQ and failing.

Haha....so not only do you have to have mats that cost gil, farming, and a lot of tomes, but have to meld them multiple times to make them equivalent or better than straight up bought Darklight?

There's no logic in that. It's just easier to buy Darklight and be done with it, but then I guess if you want the best of the best, that's the price you pay.

Not to give away too many crafting secrets, but the harder something is to get, the more valuable it usually is. Now... just think how much people would pay to avoid needing to grind tomes to progress. The difference of stats is minimal for most of them, especially with materia slots in the crafted gear. And that's just looking at normal versions of the crafted... HQ makes it significantly better (thus significantly more valuable). With so many people having multiple jobs to level, you can bet that people would be willing to buy them.
