    It's not a QQ post to inform you of seems to elude you. Go mining, pick up a craft, make friends, work on your relic weapon. YES, you are going to have to do AK a few times to get some dungeon gear, and in the process some AF +1 and Darklight gear. Lord knows that when PVP comes out the same people will be here crying about how they have to grind all this crap to even compete with those that don't mind the grind.

    The moral of the story is that this game is really no different in spirit than ANY other game of its kind EVER. You see the carrot, you fucking chase it, end of story.

    So you're telling me to truly enjoy this game I have to mindlessly craft for hours? Sorry, but that's your game but not mine.
    I like killing bosses, bullshitting with friends and doing hilarious junk. People are treating a video game like a job and it's kind of hilarious.

    I'm killing bosses for nothing and I'm killing mobs for nothing. Please keep going with your QQ argument and how I should craft useless stuff to make Gil to buy more useless junk.

    I believe this quote is what the OP is referring to:

    Again, I highlighted in bold the part people seem to commonly miss. Now, lets brainstorm a little bit on what that means. This is not an intended strategy, people were shortcutting through it for the rewards because the mobs were not adding anything of benefit to the run, only waste time and damage gear. So, they wish to discourage this behavior. First step is to prevent the behavior, which they have by changing how the mobs react to players. Thats prevention. Now if you wish to discourage someone from doing something you dont want and you know something they do want, best solution is to encourage them to do what you do want by giving them what they want.

    TL;DR
    Read the bold, they arent done. they are still tweaking it and my guess is there will be tomb rewards for killing trash, either increased rewards at the end for a full clear or have mobs drop them or have treasuers pop if mobs are cleared. Stop getting your panties in a knot.....

    Woah no, I have no problem doing AK the normal way fighting the mobs, my point is the reward is low for the amount of time required now seeing as how there is a ton of people who grinded entire sets in a few days and the rest of us are screwed because we didint blow through content to be able to do that

    Also the options to gain these tomes is lacking, only ONE end game dungeon, iam pretty sure they are going to end up nerfing the CM runs

    The OP does make a valid point mentioning this game is designed around playing multiple jobs but the time it would take to gear multiple jobs is crazy. Im just now reaching the endgame grind and I havent spent any tomes yet because Im not sure which job I want to splay yet.

    I started ARR with the intent of being a drg but the wait for DF was too long so I took up CNJ to get in and found out I enjoyed healing. So I played the entire story and dungeons as a cnj/whm. I dabbled with drg a bit and realize I suck at avoiding stuff and have since questioned whether I want to play it. I also have a lvl 50 arc/brd from 1.0 and think I may prefer that as my dps class now instead of drg. So to switch between 2-3 different jobs endgame and be decently geared would take forever and by then there would be more tiers of gear to go for

    Decisions decisions. I just cant come to grips with being a full time healer. My surname is Skullsplitter for crying out loud. Maybe Ill go somewhere in the middle and settle on bard.

    Tldr; the tome grind is about right for gearing one job but the game is designed to play multiple and gearing 2-3 jobs would take forever and by then there would be new tiers of gear to obtain.

    Crafting is incredibly rewarding. Also, HQing those LV.50** items is easy once you have the right cross class abilities. I only wish that they made it so you could only craft your own.. Would get so many of these lazy asses who just get other people to meld and make their relic stuff cause they can't be bothered to stop racing through the game.

    Oh, and since you mentioned it, Allaghan gear and primal weapons are drops, not bought items.

    How about allowing us to purchase Animal Fat and Coke at high prices like in 1.0 rather than relying on goddamn tokens? It makes little sense for us to even bother with the gryphonskin/darksteel/vanya sets because they're incredibly taxing and it's just not worth being slightly better than Darklight.

    How about giving us Darklight drops from dungeons as well alongside the token cost?

    How about making rational decisions? AK farming is already growing tiresome.

    So much to point out, you really do deserve that name of yours LOL. You sound like you're going to pay to complain. I mean that's okay I guess, it's your money.

    It's not your game neither btw, it's property of Square Enix. So uhh... if the game is currently designed to be this way, you really don't have much control over such a matter to dictate how it is designed. And just to point out, it's apparently not designed the way you want it to be. Maybe come back at a later date when more things have been added... or don't, I don't think SE really cares on that bit (individual level).

    The video game, being an MMORPG, has elements that follow the genres roots. You saying that people are treating it like a job is... well, not even remotely close to being an insult. That's how MMORPGs were played when they began to popularize. Heck, those of us that were around to play during that time know that very well and poke fun about that fact. Mock it all you want, but you're the outcast here, with that mentality. What else would you be doing with your time? Playing another game? Maybe watching TV/browsing the internet? Yeah, that's clearly something not as mockable. Just thought I'd point that out.
