    The 1017ocaust kept me from progressing steadily through the main quest, setting me back 300 mythology tokens.

    If people right now aren't rushing to endgame because that's what they ordinarily do in MMOs, then I'd will wager it is because they don't want to "lose" any more mythos. Whether you beat the MQ, the timer is running and you can't stockpile mythos allowances like leves or anything like that.

    Getting an item 1 or 2 weeks before others do. Does it really matter that much?

    In the end all the rushers will be left with no more content, everyone else will catch up with them and then they'll realize it was stupid to go so fast.

    If you think gil problems is because people rushing to 50 you are dead wrong. Bad end game design is the problem. and no i don't want to craft i absolutely hate crafting. In any other MMo i was rewarded for doing what i like, in this game i'm only punished, that is a flawed design.

    That's not a design flaw. That's like being used to shooters with regening health and then playing one that doesn't and saying it's a design flaw. It's just a different style, although one you may not like.

    So true, I just hope SE learns to not listen to this vocal minority. Last thing we need is a game with reasonable difficulty turned into WoW, I like the difficutly, and if SE is willing to ignore and risk losing these people to keep a good game it would be an MMO that will last a decade.

    No, regenerating health is basic game design, while game preventing people from enjoying it and unbalanced economy is a bad design, very different. It has nothing, ABSOLUTLEY nothing to do with difficulty , crafting is not difficult. I just choosing not to partake in this activity because i don't like to do it, just as people don't like to be support classes. Game needs a balance where everyone is making money not just crafters, it may not be a huge income (compared to crafting and playing on market) but it must be there.

    I personally enjoy crafting, but it takes a long time to level up any crafting class for profit, because then you also have to level up mining/botany/fishing to support it unless you want it to be yet another gil sink. Crafting should be optional, and for profit. You should never be required to level up crafting to even AFFORD to play your normal class (Teleports/Repairs). As it stands right now the only way to make relevant money is by leveling up a crafting class.
