New Character Creation

they have been updating the character creation issues every 5 hours, if you open your game client there is an option to view it. only 4 na servers are still being restricted where as there are 13 japanese servers still being restricted as of 12:30 sept 9. so the other na server should open in a day or 2 and the japanese server will prob take more then a week

While I understand the need to throttle character creation there should be a way to tag our accounts so we can create new ones on the same server. There is no way I can log onto more than one character at a time on my one account. SO they are basically saying screw you guys who are actually playing and enjoying the game and want another character.

There were four or so locked for NA this morning. The latest update shows ten. In-game, there are twelve so your theories are incorrect. I really don't see this being let up anytime soon at this rate.

I have to add my complaint in with the others in hopes that we will get some kind of response from SE.

What is the problem here? I've been locked in to two options since buying this game: don't play or play the one character I was able to make before the locks went in to place. I'm already on Cactaur... is there seriously no way to allow those who already are on the server to make new characters? I am quite sure that the excuse of 'fairness' is out the window given the whirlwind of crazy that has surrounded this launch.

I've been really patient but would like to roll a new character. I'd be happy to do so on a new server so I could quit my griping, but there has been zero news on rather or not we will get a free transfer. The window for patience has closed. I'm not going to threaten to leave the game because it's good stuff and my threat would be idle and nonproductive. What then, does SE suggest I do? Oh... right... continue to be patient.

EDIT: Now a friend purchased the game this evening. Upon asking me what server to join me on, I couldn't tell her Cactaur BECAUSE IT IS STILL LOCKED! So I guess I just roll on a new server with her, but oh, wait... the other RL friends I'm already playing with have invested 2 weeks of time in to our characters on this server so I guess we can work the transfers out but... oh, no, not that either so... I guess we're screwed until...???????

I have the same issue; several of my friends are on legacy players on Excalibur, and that's the server my guild is based in. I have yet to be able to play with them, and I don't particularly want to level up a character somewhere that I'll may not be able to move or have to pay to move to Excalibur. The free week doesn't address that problem at all. If I'm not playing due to not being able to create a character on those servers, I'm just not playing.

I have wondered about this myself. The way it looks from SE is that my trial is going to expire with me still being unable to create a character with my friends. Hopefully they keep all of the trials active until character creation is enabled for all servers and then start the timer.

I have zero interest in playing the game without my friends. It is truly a missed opportunity because most of my adoration for the Final Fantasy franchise is based on the work of Square Soft. I believe an entire generation of fans exist that have yet to be impressed by Square Enix. Best of luck to all

Is it possible to give the players some indication on when the server restrictions will be lifted for the 4-5 NA Worlds which have not allowed character creation since release day?

Even if the response is "We will not open these worlds for character creation at all." then at least players could plan their future activities knowing what will happen.

By telling players that the Worlds will open, but then the Worlds do not open, it only make players frustrated.

Just set a date when they will be open, and tell people, please.

People play MMOs to play with friends. If they can't play with friends, they should be charged.
