New Character Creation

Heard rumors that the last patch which force booted all of the thousands of players, who never log out, to actually log out. Set my alarm clock and crossed my fingers. Logged in just before servers were supposed to go live again and to my delight green light for creation on all servers.

This is a two-fold post...
Point one: All you posters who wanted to join up, do it now! No telling how long the gap will be.

Point two: SE get your head out of your arses and implement a boot feature for inactive players. Not only will this decrease player loads on your servers for all those selfish players who are burning up your capital resources while they are sleeping/working/or whatever else it is that they do, but will help to correct the single most complained about problem in your current meta-game. Unless of course you believe that people never step away from the game to live their lives.

I was able to get around the creation bans and I hope a few of u did too.

Did you read what was added during the maintenance... apparently not... AFK timer is now in the game.

Well Moogle (EU) is already locked to new character creation again. I think it was open for about 3 hours after the patch. So expect to see the NA ones lock as well as people get online.

And with still no solid word on character transfers, seems we're still no further forward on this whole issue.

bah my mate hasn't been able to even play the game since he bought it 2 weeks ago , there is no point him making a char on another server he needs to join with me and the rest of our guild on moogle.....

give us some INFORMATION its taking the complete piss now

I was able to get on and create at around 0230PDT, RIGHT as the servers came back on. Played for 2ish hours and then Emergency Maintenance hit. Seems the best time is right after the servers come up. Every single server was accepting when I looked. But with the AFK auto logout, maybe we will see less lockouts.

I have the same issue; several of my friends are on legacy players on Excalibur, and that's the server my guild is based in. I have yet to be able to play with them, and I don't particularly want to level up a character somewhere that I'll may not be able to move or have to pay to move to Excalibur. The free week doesn't address that problem at all. If I'm not playing due to not being able to create a character on those servers, I'm just not playing.

I finally got in Ultros after waiting a week. Those still waiting I'd check today and see if they made any changes. If the servers keep locking just wait till next maintenance and set an alarm

Looks like all the realms are available now. If not at this specific time, will be during less congested hours. Now for those transfers...

I'm happy to report that I was finally able to make a second toon on Ultros. Just looking it is still open too. Must have been a large number of afk sitters to clog it up that bad.

What the hell is this guys?! They open character creation for my server, Behemoth, and I drive all the way home from work just to make a character. Lo and behold I CAN'T? The server is grayed out! What is this? I haven't been able to make a new character in weeks.
